Always, always, always get the protection plan on big-ticket equipment. It’s paid off on my microwaves (2), vacuum cleaners (2) and routers (1). It’s amazing how quickly things can die, like my router today (two months outside the one-year manufacturer warranty). On something $499, I do not want to have to re-purchase that twice in a year and two months if I can avoid it.

Perfect for equipment that doesn't have to long of a life span, or if you have a busy household and things happen. Most heavy gaming households routers only last a few years and sometimes they fall. So when that happens you can return and sometimes they don't have the exact model because it's been a few years, you will get in store credit and you can find a new one around the same price or just upgrade for the same price as a low end router. Very nice and always easy when products fail or have a misshap.

Had my car in and out in a matter of a couple of hours ! Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about what I needed to replace my stereo. After all these years, still works great!

Directions were easy for installation and it works great. Better reception than we had before for WIFI

I always recommend getting a warranty. You never know when you’re gonna need it. It’s better to have and not use them to need it and not have it.

Every time I bought a new appliance from Best Buy I’ve always had to warranty because they standby their #Warranty if they can’t fix it you get your money for the product back to purchase a new product

I always try to take advantage of the Geek Squad product replacement plan. I like being able to return an item if it goes bad without the hassle of shiping it off to someplace . Over the years I had to replace several products after they had gone bad and it was no problem to go into the nearest best buy and at times get the next generation of a product out if the model that I was using was no longer availble. So yes for me paying a few extra dollars was worth it. The only time that I might not pay for the extra protection is when the coverage that I am trying to get is close to a hundred dollars for the item, such as some tablets that I have bought, however that might depend on the item because I got coverage on a washing machine and a dryer at one time and although I may not have to ever use it at least I know that I am covered and for me that makes it worth the peace of mind that I will get. So in conclusion you have to way the risk that you are willing to take and for me it has worked out well over the years and I have no complaints.

Purchased the replacement\ membership to our new router. This saved us money up front and also will have the replacement policy if need. The router had issues right out of the box. We were glad we purched the membership. Easy to return and got a new rplacement that same day.
