    I get nothing without geek squad. Although, I have run into some issues lately that tarnished my view of GS somewhat. For instance, I brought back an item that I bought brand new and paid for GS, but since it was price matched for a lower price they wouldn't just exchange it for another of the same exact product because the price was regular retail again. So, I was forced to return the product for store credit because I couldn't pay the difference in price to get another one. The whole reason I buy GS is to ensure that if the product needs replaced, I don't have to pay for it or buy a new one. I seriously think this needs to be revisited and changed, otherwise I'm not sure geek squad is really worth the money and I may revisit my policy on always purchasing it I the future.

    If it goes on the fritz you take it to the store. If they can't fix it they replace it. That simple. No shipping it to New Jersey or somewhere else far, far away, on your dime. Very affordable. I'm impressed

    I have purchased the Geek Squad Protection for a number of items over the years, but I had only needed it once. I had purchased a coffee maker for about $160 and it lasted me about 22 months before it stopped working. I forgot that I had purchased the Geek Squad Protection for it, but I found my contract information in my e-mail after a simple search. I brought the coffee maker to my local Best Buy store, explained my situation to the returns associate, showed my contract number, and I was given a refund for the purchase price of the coffee maker. Fortunately, a newer model of the coffee maker was available at $10 less than what I had previously paid and I also received a $15 gift card as part of a promotion for purchasing that particular coffee maker. And, yes, I did purchase the Geek Squad Protection again for my new coffee maker.

    I wanted to give an accurate rating, since I read reviews and they do influence my purchases somewhat, so when I rated Best Buy with the 1-5 stars, I had to check 5 stars for this sale. In everyway they met my needs and helped me decide with an informed decision on a TV purchase. It would be ready for pick-up at my convienance as it wasn't going to fit in the car I drove, so this gave me plenty of time to arrange things at home for what I chose to be the perfect spot for the new 55" TV I purchased. I also continued to do more reading on all the different choises there are. The ultra led hdtv, qled, oled and hdr, which was the one thing I wasn't to sure about. Their sales specialists were highly knowledgeable and explained to me what each feature was and exactly what it did, so after doing a little reading of my own I knew I wouldn't be happy with my original purchase, so when I went in to pick the TV up, they were happy to change my order, and do an upgrade, so I purchased a similar tv, this time I included the hdr. Seriously, these guys are no hype, just the facts. I remember my first 55" smart tv I purchased, I really had no decisions to make other than the size, but now unless you know what all the abbreviations stand for, one would be a wreck trying to figure it all out and even if you know the terms, you need to know what they actually do. I purchased the ulta hdtv, now with the hdr( high definition resolution), and walking out I felt great and knew I had made an informed decision and purchase. I've to say they all helped me make the right choice and purchase for my home watching experience to be the best it can be and at a price that fit my budget. I couldn't be happier. I've just moved to the Portland area from Sacramento, where I bought my first nice computer set at the Best Buy there in 2000. It's where I learned of Best Buy I and haven't had a negative experience with any of my purchases yet, hope I never will. I would have to say most purchases I've made have been some type of electronic's need. It's where I go for any technical and or major home purchase, knowing I'll walk out feeling informed on any purchase I've made. They haven't changed and seem to carry their same selling philosophy everywhere, which is great for any consumer. I'll write again to say a few words about the TV and how much I know I'll be enjoying it. PS. I also bought a sound-bar, last, but not least. I was looking, asked a question, and bam, I walked out with one. I can't wait to listen to it. I'm going to, not only connect it via bluetooth to the TV, but to the stereo also. So Awesome!! Thanks Best Buy And this was an honest opinion from an honest consumer.
