I have had Bose lifestyle systems for past 15 years. 2 different systems. 8 years ago the had upgrade offer to the V35. That system started having video issues. I sent it back to Bose who replace the motherboard and gave me a new remote.(149.00) It’s not fixed. They refuse to help. The old Bose would have fixed it or offered an upgrade to a new system at substantial discount. After they decided NOT to help, NOT to refund my $ I decided to shop. The Bose sounded pretty good in my 23x15 space. New Lifestyle 3999.00. After reading reviews the system lacks serious updates. DTSX, Atmos, 4K & 8k upscaling, HDMI 2.1 serious shortfalls. The system like mine is NOT up to the new technology nor is it expandable. Everything is proprietary. After a few short days of research Bose is outclassed on every level except out of the box solutions. Small space not serious audiophile have cash it can work. If want a quality system for listening to music or to experience true home theater I’d move on and I did. Keep in mind I have been using Bose at least 15 years but in the last 5 years technology has completely changed and Bose is NOT up to the task. But if you have small space and want something decent, super easy to set up and non intrusive Bose can work. Company support and old technology being bad I have to move on.

I am always looking for better sound. I'm a huge music lover and I want a system that allows me to really feel it in my soul. When the Bose Lifestyle 650 system was delivered to me, I thought wow, this thing is huge, as the box was enormous. Thankfully, it was mostly packaging, and the product is sleek and fits perfectly in my home. I thought physical setup set up was pretty straightforward, hardest part was getting my husband off the couch to help place the individual speakers up high for me. I didn't like that you have to use a TV to have the software set up. I didn't want to connect it to my TV, I intended to use it mainly with my phone music apps. However any anynnoyances I had with set up instantly dissipated when I heard the beautiful sound coming from around me. I have a lot of experience customizing sound systems and know exactly what I want to hear. This system from the box sounds amazing, without needing any tweaking of the equalizer. The remote user interface makes it simple and easy to adjust sound settings, as well as functioning as a universal remote programmable for all your device needs. There is an app to control it as well. I personally like to get in depth with settings, and this system doesn't have too many extra options for that but as I've said doesn't need it, as interface to sounds exceptional from the box. This Bose 650 system is pricey but totally worth the money if you really enjoy a good quality system. It blows away anything I've ever listened to before. My car has a really awesome system too and this makes that sound bad comparatively. Bose has a great reputation for quality products and this is one of them!

I been having this system for 4 weeks and I'm not going to lie it sounds amazing. My first system and I'm inlove with it. I watched suicide squad with this system and it sounded amazing. My wife and daughter was so happy and for new year's we had a party and everyone asked me what system I had and I told them and they fell inlove I wouldn't be surprised if they purchased this system. But Bose made this system sound great and easy to use.

Being an avid music listener, I was in a constant search for a home theatre that is best in the market. After a long wait, I found it in 'Bose Lifestyle 650'. I can say, its the finest technology that comes with the style, elegance, perfection, yet simple and small. We are very impressed with its looks, rich quality in sound, granular frequencies that are hard to hear in other music systems. Honestly, I could get the same level of experience as that of watching movies in theaters with dolby effects. We are totally impressed with the way it absorbs the disturbances that can be noticed in other music systems. Best of all is, I can integrate most of my other music gadgets (like iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Blu-Ray player, Dish TV) with the 'Lifestyle 650'.. such that I can listen to them by switching to the respective audio source (which is a single tap on the remote). When my infant kid is sleeping, I can switch to the 'cordless head phones' and enjoy the same level of excitement. With this, I believe 'Lifestyle 650' addressed all options within the single package. Though we got different boxes for all the components, the installation is quite simple and I have done most of the assembly without even looking the manual. I would definitely recommend this product to all my friends, family and colleagues

Upon receiving this I was definitely excited because I and my family are music and action movie fanatics,also I am very familiar with the quality Bose has to offer as I own Bose head phones and have Bose speakers in my vehicle. To start I have owned several speaker receiver components Kenwood and Pioneer and know the headache of having to run speaker wire and fine tune base and treble right, center , left speakers to your liking .What I absolutely love is that the set up of system is not as complicated as I thought that it would be(actually very easy!), however I am still amazed at the amount of wiring that is still involved with such a sophisticated piece of equipment this day in age ,I digress this minor pain more than makes up for the impeccable sound quality that is and is only BOSE! We started off with watching war movie U-571 if you are familiar with it you know why we wanted to watch it first after setting up this system the ballistic blasts from torpedoes , thuds and ,creaks from a submarine as it depressurizes will have you shaking in your seat (it was literally like being in the belly of that submarine. Bose's bass module will rock you to your core.It gave us a new appreciation of this movie and the Bose brand. JUST AMAZING!!!!!!

I have waited months to post this disappointed review for the Bose 650. First of all the sound quality is excellent thus that is not the issue. However, it’s a home theater system and should work with external devices without any problems but that is not the case. Several months ago I upgraded to 4K devices (e.g. Sony TV, Apple TV 4K, Xbox One) and connected all components to the Bose 650. The system advertises it has 4K video source capabilities. Unfortunately, problems started to occur such as green vertical lines down the sides of the TV or discoloration when viewing the ATV and Xbox. The store manager replaced the console however that did not resolve the problems. I cannot recommend this ‘expensive’ product until the 4K pass through issue is resolved. I strongly recommend you read the post on the Bose Community before purchasing. The details of this problem are thoroughly described on a lengthy post found on Bose’s Community under Lifestyle 650 Green Vertical Lines on Edge of Screen. Many others have reported this problem thus Bose Engineering is aware but a resolution has not been provided.

I cannot believe how expensive this product is for what it offers. The sound quality is good but not amazing. The main problem I have though is the lack of current features and how convoluted the operation is. Bottom line here is i felt compelled to write this review after my experience. You can get better sound quality, more features, and a much simpler operation for half this price. I am amazed this product has any good reviews..

Speakers get disconnected. Even Best Buy tech support have issues with fixing problem. It is not worth the money.

I have to say, this is my first Bose product and I am in love. I went straight from TV speakers to this Bose 650 home entertainment system, and wow. I can actually wash dishes and watch my favorite show now, before I couldn't even hear the TV over the running water. The overall design of the product is great, solid, sleek, and for the most part, compact. The base speaker is heavy and you will need a good spot for a 30 pound black box, but it’s worth it. Listening to music through this bad boy is like having the band in your home and watching a movie is like you are there! I could not be more impressed with the sound quality. As for the setup process, I would not say that it was the easiest thing I have ever set up, but it was relatively simple. It comes with paper instructions but they are mostly just to get you to the on screen TV instructions. From there, you just follow step by step and if you run into any problems the on screen instructions will direct you to call a support team (I did not need help from the support team). At this point, I have had the entertainment system for 4 weeks and have yet to run into any issues, however I still consider this the honeymoon phase. Although I have not had it long, I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone. The sound quality surpasses anything else and the wireless feature is dream! This product is really amazing. I received this product to test for 4 weeks and to send back without any compensation for my review.

I bought lifestyle 650 six months back for my home theater by ignoring and not listening to friend's advice.We were able to watch 4 to 5 movies and were later on started giving issues. always getting error message "Source not found" , console shuts off never comes back. Tried all possible ways but no luck, called service center, they said will send technician but no one showed up. Due to Covid situation, we couldn't return the product in time. I am stuck with defective product There are many other issues users posted on other sites. BOSE QUALITY IS ABSOLUTELY VERLY LOW!!!!!!!! Please !!!! please !!! don't ignore these reviews, if you like to waste money and regret for your investment, buy this product.

It's not as wireless as it claims. You still have to wire the front speakers I returned mine because the subwoofer module kept cutting out.
