It has helped make the sound bar clearer by taking over the bottom. I haven't really opened it up yet as it is not my main TV which is also why I didn't get the bigger one. I didn't want to disturb my neighbors at night.

Then I put it behind the couch now I can feel the bass also. Highly recommend. Actually had to lower the settings a bit and I like bass..

Adds much needed bass to a Roku bar, but not a lot

The streambar had all this marketing that the sound would blow me away. I use a powerful Onkyo 7.2 surround system in one room and a Sonos in another, so the soundbar didn't have near the same punch I'd hoped for. The addition of this bas module did make the sound much better, but still weak compared to premium systems. I did up the Bass settings, oddly, you need to have a video playing in order to get to those options. I recommend anyone get a subwoofer, especially with the basic Roku Streambar. I don't know if the Pro version of this Bass would make a significant upgrade, but at the price difference and for the use of this (a side monitor next to my computer) it does the job fine enough.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sound is great when it stays connected to the TV, but after about an hour the Bluetooth comes unsynched and takes a few min to reset. I have been trying to deal with Roku’s technical support for over a month doing their troubleshooting steps and resetting everything (including the TV) to factory settings, nothing has worked. I have been told they are sending me a replacement no mess than 3x and no replacement was ever sent. Last nights solution from tech support was to “go buy another tv and see if it fixed the problem, if it doesn’t we will replace the soundbar and subwoofer”. I told them I wouldn’t do that, so they hung up on me.

Posted .Hi Sony55, this is certainly not the experience we'd hope for you to have and we'd like to share a few tips that may help!
We might suggest putting your subwoofer in front of the room, to the right or left of the TV as this typically provides the best blending with the higher frequencies generated by your other Roku audio device(s). However, as you may be a bass-lover, try placing your subwoofer in a corner or closer to a wall. This typically produces louder bass! Lastly, to increase your bass settings, navigate to "sound modes" and try selecting "Bass boost". This might help to achieve the sound you're looking for.
