I purchased an upright freezer that worked great for about a year and then malfunctioned. We lost some of our freezer items, but I was able to get reimbursed and get a new freezer because of the 5 year GeekSquad protection plan! Thank you so much for the help!

This is the first fridge I ever bought myself. It looks great in my kitchen and is easy to clean. I wanted something with an internal water/ice dispenser to avoid water dripping down the front of my fridge. Love that everything is eye level and easy to find. Way better than a side by side or freezer on top

We never leave Best Buy without it! We get it with all of our purchases because we know it works, and the refrigerator we purchased is no exception.
This plan includes key benefits such as failure protection from power surges, comprehensive coverage for parts and labor, and up to $300 for spoiled food and medication per event, although it does not cover spoilage due to power outages. I advocate that you purchase a surge protector, but I LOVE that power surges are covered.
Noteworthy is the in-home repair service, which adds convenience by having technicians come to your home for necessary repairs or replacements. Additionally, the plan covers failures from normal wear and tear and even damage from lightning strikes.
The flexibility of transferring the protection plan to a new owner without extra charges enhances the resale value of your appliance. If a replacement is necessary, reinstallation is included if initially installed by Geek Squad.
Overall, the Geek Squad Protection Plan is a worthwhile investment for extended security and peace of mind, making it particularly valuable for owners of high-end appliances.

Great Freezer! NO FROST, Tons of Storage for the Slim Size. Great addition to the house. Stays cold -3 Degrees F. Has a Refrigerator mode. Would definitely recommend.

We got notified the day before our scheduled date of a 4-hour window for delivery. The 2-technician crew arrived within middle of the time period and unpacked the new fridge outside before bringing it in. Once inside, they removed the old fridge for haul away, prepared the water line, assembled the fridge parts and completed the installation quickly. Excellent service. Thanks so much!

Never had to use it, but was glad to know it was there. GE only offers 1 year parts and labor, so have five years coverage was good.

Geek Squad will not repair everything themselves. Best Buy will contract out work to AIG and AIG will contract out to Pacific Repair. Unfortunately these companies do not communicate well with each other. I called in to Geek Squad on 12/1 and a tech was able to come out on 12/4; I was very pleased by this quick response. However, the tech was not able to fix the problem and bumped this up to AIG. I received an email from AIG telling me that a tech from Pacific Repair would arrive on 12/15. I was not happy with having to wait so long, but what else am I gonna do? On 12/15 I get a call from Pacific Repair, not to tell me what time they'll be arriving, but to set up a repair appointment. It seems that AIG made an appointment in their systems but did not let Pacific Repair know this. According to the rep from Pacific Repair, they did not get the request for my repair until 12/12. A Pacific Repair tech cannot come out until 12/20, and I am so not happy with this. I was furious, but again, what am I gonna do? I've already paid for the warranty coverage and am now stuck in this ever worsening series of events. Take a wild guess as to what happens when the Pacific Repair tech arrives on 12/20... tech identifies the problem but does not have the part on him or in stock on island, the part needs to be shipped in. Following up with Pacific Repair I find that the earliest the part will arrive is 1/14, a month and a half after I made my first call to Geek Squad. For reference, I could order a refrigerator right now on the evening of 12/29 and an entire refrigerator would be delivered the day before the part I need is estimated to arrive at the repair shop. I feel as though since this is a warranty issue that all of these companies are not making big money on this situation and I'm being treated as such by each and every one of them. It seems to me that Geek Squad Protection is only concerned with protecting the bottom line of the companies at the expense of the the customer. If I needed to follow up with a phone call to a repair shop that they designated, then tell me so I can move things along. While all the techs who've come out to the house have been wonderful to work with, the companies they work for are the worst. I'm seriously reconsidering ever getting Geek Squad coverage on anything in the future because while it may cost more to replace an appliance, the sheer frustration and anger I now have towards these companies may be taking a toll that is not worth the money I've saved.
