This 4K tv is great I upgraded from a lg that I had for the past 3 years and the difference in color is huge so much more vibrant very happy with this tv I just wish I did a little more research and gotten the 55 inch model since it has 600 nits of brightness vs the 400 this model has and also 90 local dimming zones vs the 16 this one has but this tv still has a great picture with great colors.

This is a nice , natural picture with a full saturation of color. The tv dose really well with a 4k source especially. The preloaded apps are perfect for my needs and seams to be very efficient in terms of internet data usage, nicely intuitive. The only negative would be the sound, it's ok and I use a nice 7 channel surround separate with the optical output and it seems to pass through nicely with the built-in Dolby. It dose decode the sound signals properly. For around $500 it is a very good choice.

For those on a budget, you can't go wrong with the VIZIO M507-G1. The colors are vibrant, and the sound is decent. It comes with all of the standard options, such as Wi-Fi, smart capability, and multiple input sources. It renders 4K input sources perfectly. The sound is probably its worst aspect, but that's not to say it's bad. There is some flicker on the menu screen, but you can alter the settings to remove it if that bothers you. All in all, it's a great television for those on a budget.

Excellent picture and good sound quality, I did purchase the Vizio surround sound bar separately to raise the quality of the sound. I have had Sony LCD Televisions in the past and the picture on this is as good as the Sony. Sony has better sound however. I have only had this a month, so we will see if it holds up. At this point, I am happy with the purchase. The customer support by Vizio is the best. I called them and they walked me through the issue I was having and resolved it quickly.

I bought this TV to replace one for my child. She loves this TV. SmartCast is built in so you can take advantage of watching Netflix, Hulu, or even Amazon prime. Plus she does a lot of gaming on it. I would definitely recommend.

Wait for a good deal--on sale, this is a nice bargain. The picture quality is good. The smart TV operating system is Smartcast, which I'm not crazy about, but it does offer some free TV and movies channels that aren't quite as easy to find on a Roku or Fire TV. Adding a Roku (which I did) is quite easy. The 50" model is not the higher quality version of the M-series Quantum model with 90 dimming zones (that is the 55" inch model). There are only 16 dimming zones on this 50" model. Still, it's a solid entry-level TV that is superior to the bargain basement models at the bottom of the low-end.

The color quality and sound quality are good and the sleek design is also desirable. It has 4 hdmi ports which we absolutely love! The only issues I’ve found is that when you turn the tv on even if it is already on the proper cable hdmi input you have to change the input to something else and go back to the cable one to get the cable to appear (this may be a cable issue and not TV, I am not sure 100%). Also, it comes with two legs towards the end of the TV which makes it unsuitable for any smaller tv stands. My suggestion is if you purchase this TV plan to mount it and/or have a long enough TV stand to put it on. We had to purchase an additional stand that connects via mount area with support in the middle to fit. Overall, great TV!

I own 3 Vizio Tvs and this one looks great and is a good size. The built-in smart tv is pretty good, but every once in a while it has some weird glitch with turning on or suddenly not recognizing a sound bar. It goes back to working on its own, but its annoying when it happens.

I am in heaven. I purchased a 70 " Vizio about 2 years ago for my Family Room, but sometimes I want to see the same beautiful picture quality (and sound) from the comfort of my bedroom. I have been coming up with every excuse to replace my 32" Toshiba for a Vizio and thought an upgrade would be awesome. For a great price, I updated to this 50" and treated myself to the M-Series Quantum. My room is large enough for a decent distance from armoire but I still feel so guilty. But believe me, I am enjoying it.

When I first saw this TV in the store, I fell in love with the picture clarity, 4K UHD smart platform and size. Plus, it was on sale! This TV delivered on all of that. It's a perfect fit in my condo's great room. I thought I'd end up with another Samsung. I had no idea that I would fall in love with a Vizio instead!

I really was looking for the M558-G1 ( around $600) for its more advanced local dimming feature, but it was out of stock everywhere. So I decided that for the price($350), I'd give the M507-G1 a shot. I was replacing a 2017 Vizio M50-E1, which is no slouch itself, just because I wanted Quantum color. I am VERY happy with the performance of this little gem. The color output is awesome. The quantum color difference is sometimes subtle, but very noticeable none the less, and sometimes it punches you right in the kisser and all you can say is WOW. The color is much more realistic and diverse in tonality. I don't find the less advanced local dimming to create a noticeable loss in visual impact, and the difference in price between this and a Vizio P series is significant. For my money, you can't buy an appreciably better TV for under $800 or $900. than this M507-G1.

Bought this tv on October 26 2019. The day after I bought it, the tv would not turn on. I tried new batteries in the remote, I tried the button on the tv; nothing worked. I power cycled the tv twice, and it finally turned on. A couple days after, the same thing happened, and once again, went through troubleshooting, and ultimately had to unplug everything, hold the power button, and plug everything back in again. So, two (Technically 3) power cycles in less than a week. Tonight, the speakers stopped working, but again, power cycling resolved it. I’m fairly certain I just got a lemon, and just need to exchange it, but I’m worried about going through the same issues again. The last tv I had for a decade with no problems, and this one hasn’t even lasted 10 days, so my expectations may very well be too high. Bottom line, the tv LOOKS good, and offers a lot, but if it’s unreliable none of that matters. Looking at all the positive reviews, I’m sure I just got a bad one. This weekend it’ll go back and I’ll exchange it for one that will hopefully last me 10 years.

This Vizio TV has excellent color, good sound on it's own, and lots of features. Remote control has one button for each of the following: Vudu, Netflix, prime video, xumo, hulu, and redbox so it is very simple to access all of these internet sites. The remote control also allows a one button "WatchFree" which allow you to get an additional 100 channels for no charge on the Vizio TV. The remote control is quite small but is very simple and easy to use. The TV was very easy for this 68 yr old Granny to set up and enjoy.

Its a good TV for the price. Some apps are not available on the TV itself you need to cast from your smartphone to the TV for the apps you want but cannot get on the TV itself. The TV picture is very good and the TV works well once it's setup. It took longer than expected to get updated and ready to use than I thought. Be patient and take your time when setting up this TV for the first time.

Vizio has had this issue of their TVs broadcasting an open network at all times. Not only that the refresh rate on this tv Is atrocious. I have an older P series model which is still better than this newer series M version even with all the fancy jargon about color. Also not a big fan of how slow their interface is, half the time it won’t show up and I have to switch inputs then back to the smart cast input in order for the apps to appear. Other than that it is better than a lot of the other TVs in the market around this price range for the feature set and color accuracy. I’d invest more money for the p series though or save money and go with a cheaper roku type tv

It’s a good looking panel. I set all my TVs starting with rtings.com suggested settings and tweet from that point.

Bought a Samsung TV because I heard they were really good quality but in order to use it I have a connected to my Wi-Fi create a Samsung account and all the red pixels blood making it very hard to see things on certain shows and hard to read in video games, abd kept showing ads. This is smart TV but I don’t have to set it up to be smart. I plug it in I turn on whatever I want the TV turns on to and I’m ready to go no ads no accounts just plug and play.

I have always owned Samsungs but I had a budget for a new bedroom TV so thought I'd try this one. Before purchasing it, I bought a Toshiba Fire ... returned it, then a TCL Roku series 5 which was really good but lacked that extra pop in color that I was looking for... then this Vizio went on sale. I can't complain about the color or clarity at all ... awesome color POP and very vibrant and crisp. Set up was easy and sound quality is better than average. The picture on this TV is better than my Samsung 7 series for sure. So, there are definitely 2 cons ... 1) the operational "Smart" part of the TV is clunky and slow ... like Roku is a 10 and this is a 5 ... but it does work ok, but just ok. 2) Not that many apps provided ... especially compared to Roku platform. Most disappointing is No Google Play Movies App!!! Yes, you can stream from your phone bu using built in Chromecast ... but for me, having to use a Smart Phone App and stream it is a last resort. So ... my solution was to use my Roku + streaming stick. When I want more apps ... hit Input and switch to Roku ... for $39 problem solved! Last bit of advice ... if you can afford it and have a big enough table (I didn't and is used for in a small bedroom) ... then buy the 55 inch ... just a little more but DEFINITELY more brightness and more zones. I would rate the 55 inch Vizio M as better than TCL series 6 ... but again, a clunky Vizio Smartcast system but a PHENOMENAL picture.
