    I bought this filter while purchasing my new DSLR camera. It was only about ten dollars and in addition to the inherent filtering aspects of the product, more importantly it protects my expensive lens.

    Metal threads and good glass. Fit well on lens and protects the lens from dust etc. Have not seen any degrading of photo images with use.
