got these to protect my lens from dust and scratches! great price, works great! easy to instal and definitely recommended to protect your lens which are expensive.

Since I'm a novice DSLR camera user I'm not sure if this filter improves the contrast of my photos or not. I use a Nikon D3200. In comparing same shots/same time photos with my daughter who used an Olympus, I have some concerns that it may reduce the saturation, but that could just be me not optimizing the camera's adjustments. I sure like the peace of mind that I'm protecting the lens. For the price it's great and a breeze to screw on and off, plus you can save the thin profile case for storage.

I bought this mainly to protect my lenses from duct and scratches. It does this beautifully without adding any sort of distortion to my photos.

Provides the protection I need. I do a lot of shoots at the beach so the UV filter helps but the lens protection from sand is key.

We weren't sure we needed this lens filter. But we bought it anyway to see if it made a difference. We wanted the best pictures possible. You're already spending so much money on your camera to get great pictures of your family and friends, so why not spend just a little more to make those pictures that much better and not take the chance of ruining a great picture because of glare or haze.
