    Generally one purchases a UV filter to protect the actually lens. Easy to replace a scratched filter-rather than a lens, right? I went to clean the filter from a couple of smudges with a piece of lens tissue. With an appropriate amount of pressure, the lens literally came a part and was jammed into the lens itself-ridiculous. I would purchase insignia again.

    although this is labeled 52mm, it definitely does NOT fit my 52mm camera lens. The threads are ever so slightly smaller than the inner threads of my lens, so although it initially seems like it fits perfectly, once you pick the camera up, the filter literally tips right out of the lens, not having actually been screwed in.

    i purchased this filter along with canon 40mm stm f2.8 pancake. the filter does very basic protection. nothing more nothing less. do not expect any quality from single filter. so far it's doing what its made for, except could be cheaper. i don't think it's really multicoated or anything like that but so far no glare or anything.

    I came to BestBuy to purchase a Polaroid lens filter because online it said that it was available in the store. Once at the store I was told that the Polaroid one was only available online. Settled for the Insignia which I was told is the BestBuy brand.
