    I recently purchased a new digital camera from Bestbuy. Since the camera came with two lenses, I decided to buy this UV filter to help protect each lens when not in use. It just so happens that it serves a dual purpose and also prevents undesired UV light from interfering with my pictures. I would highly recommend this item to any photographer, amatuer or professional.

    This was purchased as a gift, There is a lot of controversy surrounding UV filters and most circle around the fact which is best and if they really do anything. There are some real expensive UV filters out their and I have purchased a few but to be honest I can't really tell a difference (except to my wallet). This filter does appear to reduce te effcts of UV rays on image but more important it protects the front element from dust and weather.
