After looking at multiple prices on different websites/stores this is really good quality for fraction of the price. It also comes in a nice fitted plastic case with a small piece of foam so it closes tight and stays protected. I ended up going back to the store and buying the same brand for my other size lenses.

Not much to really say about this filter. I haven't noticed any adverse effects with using this $10 filter, and I have them on all four of my lenses (with 5,000+ photos taken through them). If nothing else, it's a wise $10 investment as a protective shield for your lens' glass.

Lenses for modern DSLR cameras aren't cheap. All it takes is one little scratch to destroy it's usefulness to any photographer. Therefore, I urge you to spend a little and save a lot. I put a basic UV or skylight on every lens I own. It is the cheapest protection available for a lens.

I bought this to protect my new lens. This filter does not affect the photographs, but is the first line of defense against scratches on the glass. Much easier to replace a relatively inexpensive filter than an expensive lens. Must have......

UV filters are a good way to protect your lens. If something hits the lens or you drop the camera you won't scratch the lens you will scrtach the filter.Filters cost around $10 here. Its cheeper to replace the lens than the filter.

My daughter has a Nikon D5100 DSLR, and this fits the lenses to keep them scratch free. There are many choices out there, but a simple one like this will just simply protect your lens, which is super expensive to replace. You need this!

I read online reviews and made the decision to purchase 2 of these since I want to protect my expensive lenses. They screw onto the lens easily and can be removed and replaced for around $10, per lens filter, if damaged.

This filter is perfect for use as a sky filter and very effective for reducing and eliminating the hazy look that unfiltered UV rays can produce on many photo exposures-- particularly those outdoor, mid-day exporsures

This was a purchase that I made for a friend who'd received a new camera and lens for Christmas. She has been very pleased knowing that not only will this filter reduce UV rays but will also protect her camera lens.

In my opinion, this is a necessary item to protect your lens from accidental scratches and also to keep dirt and dust off. I am buying another to protect my 50-200mm lens so that both are protected.

I always buy a UV or skylight filter to protect my lens and cut down on the blue colors outside and with flash. Works as advertised. Good workmanship and it threads into my lens just fine.

I mainly use it to protect my kit lens. The only problems I have encountered so far is that my lens takes time focus with it. Not too long but can be annoying sometimes. Also, I was trying to unscrew it from my lens but I can't take it off. I don't know what to do about that.
