    Tv turns itself on

I purchased this tv on 2/27/2020, & have had nothing but problems. It will turn itself on & run a screensaver, running the risk of burning the image into the picture. The youtube app does not work, I have yet to check any other ones. And sometimes the "home" menu will only halfway show up on screen. I bought this tv to upgrade my 50" 4k vizio that is now, 5 or 6 years old. It's been the best!! I chose this one because the picture quality is amazing!! I love the extra pop of colors, however I may need to return.

Hello Lmk10, your television should not turn itself on unless a CEC, remote or voice command is being sent to it. Also all apps should work without any problems as long as you are connected to a stable network connection. We’d really love the opportunity to have our tech support team run through some troubleshooting steps to see if we can get the TV up and running for you. When you have a free moment, they’re available through text message, chat, or over the phone. Just go to support.VIZIO.com and click on ‘Contact Us’. VIZIO

CONS: Listen to the reviews on the remote. I thought people were just being sensitive but it is seriously the worst. Tap it easily in the right spot and you're rhymes with brewed. The first time it comes apart till never stay together. Idk if its just the tv we got but its bee super glitchy since we purchased it in march of 2020. The smart cast only works half the time, IF the tv turns on it will go to random apps which the majority we have never heard of or signed up through. YouTube refuses to wo 98% of the time. PROS: The color is incredible and the sound is great! No complaints in hat department. Just complaints in almost every single other aspect HA

I was very skeptical about the performance when I bought this television. After getting it home and hooking everything up I was blown away by the picture quality this tv offered at its price point. 90 zones local dimming, hdr10, Dolby vision were just the tip of the iceberg for me. I own a "once" top of the line tv from LG and paid over $3000 for it, that tv is only a couple years old and it in no way compares to this tv at a 1/4 of the price. I love the watch free app and the ability to connect to alexa and use voice controls. This television is a steal for everything it haves to offer. I've already convinced 3 of my friends to get one as well.

We got this TV on sale as an upgrade to our 5 year old 1080p 50” Vizio TV (which was a similar price at the time). This is a major step up. The 4K picture is very crisp, the colors are more vivid, with HDR and without, and the brightness is impressive as movie scenes go from dark to light (it really gives you the affect like you walked outside into the midday sun). Now, is it the perfect TV or the best on the market? No. An OLED TV is still unbeatable and this doesn’t compare. The local dimming is good, but you can definitely notice some halo effect around the zones when there’s text on the screen, and with solid backgrounds, the picture looks a tiny bit splotchy. My only other complaint is the smart TV system is crap, but we have a Roku Premiere Plus, which will always be better than built in apps in any TV. That all being said, for about 1/3rd the price of an OLED, this thing looks about 75% as good to my eyes. I’d highly recommend it for the price.

    Better TVs to buy

It was an okay TV for the first 3 months then sections of the screen start darkening. After 3 years, almost all of the screen is darkened. Other complaint is the sound is not that great but I bought a soundbar to compensate. I have used this TV for a computer monitor, PS4/PS5 and TV and streaming. It is lacking apps and it would be nice to have Xfinity app so I can discard the rental box. This is probably a decent TV for someone who may be a light user.

This tv for the money is probably one of the best pictures you can get. The black levels and local dimming are on par or exceed the TCL 6 series or Hisense H8. The only place this tv lacks the competition of the TCL 6 series or either of the Hisense H8 series tv's in the smart functions. Hisense H8 has either android or roku, TCL has roku, the Vizion uses Smartcast which is a nicer verson of Chromecast with apps. The issue is there are many apps missing to stream tv services. If you plan on using this to stream Xfinity, Spectrum, ATT TV now, or anything other than Hulu this may be the deciding factor. The apps it does run are smooth and have no issues though so if YouTube, Netflix, and most other popular apps are all you need then this TV clicks all the boxes.

You will be hard pressed to find a better 65 inch tv at this price point. Being on sale for $749 right now is a steal. The picture quality is better than the Samsung Q6 series and it rivals the Samsung Q7 series albeit at a much much cheaper price. HDR10 & Dolby Vision compatible. It’s an awesome tv and I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a large tv not trying to pay a bunch.

I had purchased a 70" E Series last year and what a massive difference there is between classes. The image is much better for movies, gaming, Dolby Vision (both have it, M-Series perfected it.) The sound is better, local dimming zones are far improved especially when it comes to subtitles. Definitely a staggering improvement over the one before! Vizio's software still needs some improvement - the Apple Tv integration is wonky and their latest home screen update has led to some frustration on both TVs, but that's just software and I'm sure an update or two will clear it up.

Been looking at all the 4K TVs from the Budget, Mid- tier and High-end brands. I'm very impressed with this Vizio M-series 65in TV as the colors pop and the Blacks are inky. No banding and only a little halo on dark scenes. The Smartcast is a little slow, but not terrible. I have Firestick, so I recommend Media streamer to download other apps that Smartcast can't. TV audio is average, but adequate. I have a soundbar that makes a world of difference. Vizio is producing Quality Quantum Dot TVs!! I recommend if you can buy Open box... they will offer and try to negotiate!

I recently moved into a house and decide it was time to start investing in a quality entertainment setup. I knew I wanted a crisp picture with bold colors and something good for watching sports. If you spend just a little bit of time researching TVs you might get overwhelmed with all the lingo - dynamic range, dimming, etc. Skipping past all the tech talk - this TV definitely has a crisp picture, very vivid colors (amazing, really), and smooth movement. They are not kidding about how the quantum technology achieves blacker blacks. Watching the movie 'Widows' recently really delivered visual satisfaction - this is a serious home theater-quality piece of hardware. I've read that this model competes with some of the higher end Samsung and Sony Tvs and I can believe that. You really feel like you are getting a luxury item for half the price. I also like that I can do a voice-activated quick start with Alexa.

I purchased this set for my sister's new media room. I specifically wanted something that do local dimming. Time for a quick nerd break... When my older LG set - which doesn't have local dimming - is displaying an image that's mostly dark with a small area of light like say a full moon in a dark sky, the set has to brighten the entire screen to make the moon seem bright enough. This means that even though the sky is black, it's an illuminated black. The Vizio has local dimming which means that it can brighten small sections of the screen as needed, but leave the rest of it dimmed, so darker colors look more vibrant. Since the TV went to my house while renovations were taking place at her house I was able to unbox it and set it up side by side with my LG, then get the throne room scene from The Last Jedi on both screens at the same time and the difference was stunning. Stunning enough that I'm wondering if she'll notice the difference if I were to swap them out. Anyone got some spare Vizio stickers :)

My wife and I upgraded from our 48" Vizio 1080p D -Series that we have had for 4 years and love our purchase, but here are some of the things we've noticed about it. Pros: excellent picture quality with vivid colors and clarity. It also has a setting for when I use my PS4 Pro. The price is a great deal compared to comparable size sets. Cons: Like almost all TVs, the buyer will want to buy a good sound bar. Also like our older Vizio, the TV will randomly turn on by itself. I resolved the problem with the 48", but now I have to do it for this one. The remote is a great improvement over the 48", but I feel it could respond quicker. The firmware is OK and includes most frequently used apps. Overall we are very pleased with this TV and Vizio brand because it was about the most that we were willing to spend, but if our budget or priorities were different, we would have probably bought a different TV.

We previously had a 9year old 50inch tv that was actually really good but....when we upgraded to this TV. Our minds were blown at the resolution, the colors, and the sound. Can easily connect to or add your other streaming apps. Cons: - it’s a little finicky - turns on on its own sometimes - very minor but the on button is on the left of the remote which is not very intuitive given most buttons are on the right. But you get ised to it.

If your looking for a very impressive picture(quantum dot-QLED) in a 65” and not have to pay more than a $1000 then this is it. Videos games run smooth and look amazing. The QLED upscales the picture and makes everything look great. Movies look great, specially 4K. Picture quality 8/10 Deep blacks 7/10 Picture quality at Angles 9/10 Apps 6/10 -Hulu still sucks on Vizio Remote 6/10 WiFi 6/10 4 HDMI ports Over all for the quality of the TV and price great buy!

I have a lot of experience with UHD tv's including setting them up, troubleshooting issues, and fine tuning. I was slightly on the edge deciding between the Hisense H9F, Vizio P, and this one. I am a very satisfied customer of Vizio and Best Buy. Almost any "budget" LCD panel display has the chance of having the Dirty Screen Effect. It's known as the Panel Lottery. I won with my TV. It has a virtually clean screen and the brightness is very good. Contrast is amazing, colors appear very well saturated without being overblown. The HDR is noticeable when scenes have skies, shadows, and forests. The remote is basic but I prefer it that way. The operating system si faster than it used to be on previous models. It is very streamlined and easy to set up and fine tune the settings. I have recommended this Vizio to friends who are trying to decide on a new TV. There are some slight negatives that may effect certain people, but for me personally, I am not bothered by them. Due to the VA panel, wide angle viewing is very poor. With bright lights on, or lots of sunlight, the panel has some reflective glare. During average day viewing, this series is really good. At night in a home theater setting, this TV is exceptional.

Considered many alternatives (LG, Samsung, Sony) before deciding on this Vizio 65. (I recently bought an LG and a Samsung 4K so I know about those). Vizio picture is stunning, very easy to integrate with my Yamaha 5.1 receiver. Feeding it a Netflix or Amazon Prime 4K via a Roku gives incredible HDR levels as well as Dolby Atmos sound. And the up-converted 1080p picture over Xfinity cable is also excellent. Highly recommend.

My old hand me down tv picked the worst time to die but I’m on day 3 with my new tv and I love it! It’s super clear for watching tv and for gaming! It did take a few minutes to run some updates once I got it setup. Smartcast is ok but it froze really bad and controls were delayed when I used Disney+ however it works just fine with Netflix, Hulu, prime and Vudu! It has 4 hdmi ports and a USB port as well which you can charge stuff with! Sound had to be messed with a little to get it to sound right but all in all I’m pretty happy with this purchase! Remote works fine but feels cheap. I have an older vizio that I purchased about 10 years ago thats still functioning well so I’m hoping this one lives up to those standards!

TV was ~$600. Works great in bright room. Im not a TV snob. No problems watching movies, using as TV monitor. Sound is good. Is it going to give you the quality of a $6,000 OLED TV? Of course not. But for 10 times less expensive, its not a 10x drop in quality. Very happy with it. Make sure you get the right version that has 90 local dimming zones instead of 20.

Just got this tv and it looks amazing. I had a smart tv in the past but nothing with 4k capabilities and it is just totally different when it comes to watching certain things. The only thing I have had issues with is sometimes a few of the apps will disconnect like hulu and idk if it's just the app or what. I know its run by chromecast which I have had that same issue in the past so maybe that's why. If it was powered by roku instead of chromecast I would have given it another star but to each his own. Over all the smart tv capabilities are still running fine just taking a lil bit to get use . As far as the graphics and the way the tv is looking I thought was amazing for the price
