I originally bought it to protect my primary lens from scratches - which it does. I also found that it reduces glare and makes the color of the sky and water more vivid.

This circular polarizer is good the reduce glare, protect camera lens and to bring out blues and vibrant colors in fall.

I read that these are made by Hoya for best buy. I went and looked at them while on my way to photograph on vacation. I had forgotten all my filters at home. I have the Cokin series. This worked fine and actually came out on top on a ratings war on Photography Life (Hoya). I don't know if they are the exact components that Hoya uses for their name brand or not. I tried to get the info at Best Buy. They called a bunch of people for about 30 minutes and came back and said"is all I am allowed to tell you is they are made for Best Buy by Hoya." They worked great for me taking images of rushing rivers and still bodies of water. The sky was the background for a lot of shots and I can't tell any difference between these and my much much more expensive Cokin Kit.

This cover is great for protection and just in general makes my pictures/videos better. I feel better when I use it as well. I would deffinetly get this if you are purchasing an expensive camera. It protects your lens for both light and scratches, exc.

I do a lot of photos and sometime I need a polarizing filter, this filter does what I need and it doesn't cost you a lot of money.

Filter fit properly on lens without slipping off. Pictures taken in the middle of the day looked great.

This is a must have accessory for every DSLR lens. Just make sure you have the correct mm size for your lens. Although you have to turn the filter, due to the light angle, once you do the colors really pop! Price is great too !

This is an excellent filter for what I purchased it for, which is strictly protection of the lens. Don't even think of spending this much on a camera and lens without a filter for protection!

When I bought my first SLR and lens it was recommended to me to put a filter on my lens. The filter protects the glass on the lens in case it bumped. It is cheaper to replace the filter than the lens.

This filter worked great. No compromise in optical quality. It really works to get those deep blue skies and also reduces reflections.

After getting a new camera, I had to get new filters too. I've always been a big fan of the polarizers, so this was a must buy for me.
