I dropped my camera and thought I cracked my very expensive lens - I was devistated. I was on vacation and went to a local camera shop and thought I was going to be purchasing a new lens. Once examed - it was determined by lens was fine and all that need to be replaced was the inexpensive filter. I will never own a camera without it.
