Marshall Mathers proved not only is he the best rapper alive he can also act. brittany murphy also played a great role in this movie

Not really a big difference in the role and the actor/rapper, but Enimen still made a good transition from artist to actor. Yeah the took the screen play from his lyrcis, and Mekhi Phifer's wig was funny looking, but you don't really play attention that. The rapping is the real star of the movie.

The rap battles, more than anything, blew me away when I first watched it. The story, overall, was surprisingly done very well. Even if you don't care for rap, the story will keep you interested.

Eminem is great for his first staring role in this movie. He plays a rapper from Detriot Trying to get a record deal. With co-stars Brittany Murphy,Mekhi Phifer,and Kim Basinger no wonder why this is a good movie.

I thought the movie was slow moving and the only part that I found good at all was the train wreck. Very disapointing to say the least. Better rent it before you buy it.
