Better than the Nintendo pro controller

Here’s why I think this keyboard is a much better purchase compared to the Nintendo pro controller: - quality materials: this keyboard feels very sturdy and definitely up there with the pro controller. I wouldn’t say it is on par, per say, but it does not feel flimsy. - significantly cheaper: this controller goes for much cheaper than the pro controller which is about 70$ dollars. - gyro support and rumble: this has the same features as the pro controller - button mapping: this feature is one that the pro controller does NOT have. You can use the software provided to map the controllers buttons to your specifications All round, I find this controller to be a better bang for your buck and quite impressive considering it can hang with the Nintendo pro controller

I bought this controller specifically to use with animal crossing new horizons on switch. This controller has turbo functionality that works perfectly with animal crossing. Basically you can make any button turbo. I use it to craft stuff very very quickly and when I'm running around farming it allows me to auto picks up items, which makes farming much less tedious. Excellent battery life and very comfortable to use for long gaming sessions. Bluetooth pairing to the switch is very easy just follow the included instructions. After the initial pairing it just auto connects anytime I turn the controller on which is awesome. Enjoy.

Feels almost like an original snes controller, some things i dont like are that sometimes I have a hard time trying to connect the controller, dont think you can turn on your switch with it, but it can be used with different devices so it's pretty cool

Pretty easy to connect to different platforms. The D-pad is a familiar, ACTUAL D-pad. Some lag on Mac, unless you use the included cable, but not a huge deal.

Best Controller for the Nintendo Switch

I've been wanting to get this controller for a while. Honestly, I'm like that with a lot of products but what made me buy it was the availability in retail stores instead of online only. I really love this controller. I use it on my Switch and it has replaced my Pro controller. Two things it can't do is turn on the Switch from the Home button and it has no NFC support. Those two features don't really matter when I'm on the go and that's when I use it the most. The Pro controller is very sensitive and will turn on at any button press, resulting in a dead battery when I open my bag. The 8BitDo will only turn on when pressing the Start button and that is not a button you can accidentally press either. The battery life is great too! It has lasted longer than the Pro controller. Charging is just as easy since it has an USB-C port. Most 3rd party controllers still use Micro-USB which is such a terrible plug. As a bonus, the battery pack is removable and replaceable. But even better, you can also use AA batteries instead of the rechargeable pack. This level of options is so great for a controller $20 cheaper than the official product. This controller also works with Android, Windows and Mac. You can switch mode on the controller itself, meaning it can be paired to an Android device and a Switch and all you need to do is press a combination of buttons! There is software you can download from the 8BitDo website and it allows you to fine tune your controller. The triggers are analog unlike the Pro's digital buttons, so you can configure them to do a full press when you tap slightly. This is a great controller to use on multiple device. The compatibility, the software for fine-tuning, the battery life and the analog triggers (this is important for PC games). I bought a second one for my wife to use and we couldn't be happier.

In the past I've always preferred the xbox joy stick layout, but I quickly got used to the playstation style on this controller and within a few days it became my favorite controller. I play a lot of switch and a lot of retro games on my pc, so I appreciate a good d-pad. This controller's d-pad is on par with original SNES controllers, and overall it's a very well made controller. Nintendo could just have easily have made their pro controllers with this layout and I think the average person would have been just as happy. I really can't recommend this controller enough.

I got this controller for my Switch and PC and I haven't touched another controller since I got it. This thing feels great in the hand and it is programmable via an application if you want to customize your button mapping or trigger sensitivity. The quality is very good and it feels sturdy and I imagine it will be fairly durable. I am glad I made this purchase considering the reasonable price and high quality. I would definitely recommend this over the officially licensed Nintendo Switch Pro controller and it is roughly half the cost.

I bought this for my Nintendo switch and my Mac. Works great on both! Feels maybe a little bit light but otherwise is a well built controller. Great D pad and buttons and triggers feel great. I would highly recommend for a primary or secondary controller. The only thing I wish it could do that it can’t is wake up the switch wirelessly. The switch pro controller does that, so I guess I have to actually stand up and take a few steps to turn on the switch. Such problems I have... :)

I bought this controller to use with my Nintendo Switch and also my PC. This controller works well with both, and the build quality is excellent. This is a solid controller with many great features including a turbo fire function, macros, and fully programmable buttons and triggers. I would highly recommend this controller to anyone who is looking for a more comfortable controller than the Xbox one controller with multi platform accessibility.

It feels nostalgic with the SNES color scheme and design. The D-pad and analog sticks do not feel sloppy and loose like other controllers. The Bluetooth paired with my RetroPie with ease. (After looking up online.) Makes me feel like I'm playing the games with the proper controller. I used to have a PS3 controller and this is way better feeling. It uses USB-C to recharge the removable battery (included) All in all, the was the great buy.

The D-Pad is wonderful for playing 2D games. The analog sticks are very responsive and the positioning is great for gamers who are accustomed to Playstation controllers. It supports all features of the Switch Pro Controller except for the HD rumble (though it does have traditional rumble) and when using on a PC, it can perfectly simulate an Xbox One controller for maximum compatibility.

I've only heard the best about this controller and it was above and beyond what I expected. The buttons and Dpad are leagues ahead of any other switch controller, and it even works excellently for PC and mobile devices. Connection to devices can be tough at first but once you understand the process, the effort is well worth it. I'll buy multiples of these before I ever touch a switch pro controller.

This controller is amazing. It was intuitive to set up. And i love the 3 various turbo buttons to program. It is super comfortable for my hands and durable for kids to smash around accidentally. Ive used it for my switch and laptop both of which connected nicely. Note though the switch connection took some googling as it did not explain how to set it up and does not connect simply by pressing r/l.

Man this is a life saver using it with my switch. The switch packages controller is not great but this makes it so much better. No batteries to replace just charge and the charge last a long time. Like using a PS controller so it’s very comfortable. Works seamlessly other than it cannot power on the switch. Kind of annoying to have to power on switch and then use the controller.

I bought this to replace a failing switch pro controller and wanted to try a third party option. So far I've been impressed and at this moment it is doing better then my Nintendo controller. Still haven't got it to work on my PC with Steam, yet. Overall a great replacement controller with potential to surpass other controllers and being usable on other system is worth the price.

The controller feels great to me, enough feedback to let me know what's going on and track easily my actions. Pairing took a couple of times the first time but it stays paired reliably. Really like the rechargeable battery, one less hassle to deal with. And the battery life has been really good. Relatively light gray print on a gray body. No big deal, just a minor point.

One of the best controllers on the market, works with Nintendo Switch, Windows, Mac and Android. Via software you can modify everything on this controller. The product works great. Modern and retro games play flawlessly on these responsive buttons. The grip is ergonomic but best serves larger hands. The connection with the Nintendo Switch is a little less feature rich than the pro controller or joy cons. You can’t wake up your switch with this controller. Other than that, this product is a no brainer, buy!!!
