I use this on my PC, my Android phone, and my switch. Holding start + X turns the controller on into bluetooth with xinput. This is great for both PC and Android. Start + Y boots it into a mode for the switch. The controller feels great. I think 8BitDo makes the best third party controllers.

I have been gaming for 30+ years and I have to say this is one of the most comfortable and responsive controllers that I have used. It beats the Nintendo Switch Pro controller by a mile. Is a little bit bigger and the plastic has a great feel to it. It is absolutely perfect for 2D games but does 3D just as good, You won't regret this purchase

This is a must have for any adult with a switch! I could barely use the regular switch controllers in my normal sized adult hands. This feels very similar to a ps4 controller and is much more comfortable. Battery lasts a long time. Only down side is that you can’t turn the switch on with the controller. Worth every penny.

Based on multiple options of wireless controllers for the Nintendo Switch, I decided to go with the 8BitDo Pro+ and I'm glad I chose this one! The layout, size, and tactile d-pad were some of the reasons why I chose this controller. Battery life is very good and it also comes with a usb-c cable, which makes charging very easy.

This controller works very well on my Nintendo Switch. It's not overly large and feels really good in my hands. No drifts so far and feels durable.
I've played Mario Kart, RPGs and Street Fighter with it, and they all control great.
My only gripe is that it takes longer than most other Bluetooth controllers when trying to connect to the Switch.

Incredibly versatile! I love that I can use this one controller for my switch, any pc with Bluetooth, and even an iPad!! I haven’t really gotten too crazy with the software except for changing the trigger dead zones, it’s the craziest looking controller ever too! It’s got the button layout of a switch pro controller, but it’s ergonomically laid out like a PS4 controller, but it’s stylized as a retro Nintendo controller. I don’t play or use or own or respect amibo toys so I don’t care if it doesn’t have nfc registration or whatever. It’s funny, I usually only buy things from Best Buy when they are incredibly discounted, clearances, or openbox specials. But this controller I would have been okay paying the same amount for a pro controller. I own a pro controller and use this one more. Another plus is that the steam controller software immediately recognizes this as a Nintendo controller, which is AWESOME because it can set up automatically to use the flipped A and B buttons for us weirdos that prefer that to be switched

Much better than using the pro controller, since the grips are more precise and the d pad is much better and less prone to accidental diagonal inputs, and an awesome new smell. Doesn’t have HD rumble or motion controls but not a concern to me, but it has normal strong rumble.

Its a snes controller with handles. So its basically a playstation controller. But really its bigger than it looks and great to use and comfy over long periods. Great battery life. Ive used it on my PC and switch. very easy to switch between with the 8-bitdo usb. (sold seperate).

For its price, it's amazing. Haven't had a problem with it. Easily replaces a Pro controller, as you can customize your buttons, stick and s lot more. 8bit doesn't disappoint. If you are le looking for a smaller more portable type, try the previous model.

Best controller for 2D Platforming

Growing up in the 8 bit and 16 bit eras, a controller like this really helps with playing older 2D platforming games. 8BitDo really knows what they are doing with these controllers and in some ways, I prefer this to the official Pro controller.
The controller remembers the previous device it connected to when you turn it on, and it will remember 1 device for each device type (let me explain). I have paired this to my Switch, an Android phone, and a Windows PC. It always remembers those connections. But if I last played on the Switch, the next time I turn it on it will connect to the Switch. If I change to Android mode, it will pair to my phone.
They thought about the user experience a LOT with this controller. It is very comfortable and well designed

I bought this to use with my raspberry pi, but it works so well on the Switch that I have been using it ever since. I am normally not a fan of 3rd party controllers but this is a great alternative to the Switch pro controller and it's much cheaper.

8bitdo controllers are some of the highest quality 3rd party controllers you can get. this is no different. at first I thought throwing handles on a snes controller was crazy but after holding it, it feels great. sort of similar to a ps4 controller actually.

This controller has great value for the price. It’s most similar to a PS4 controller so if you liked that then you’ll like this too. It connects to Switch, PC, Mac, and even PS3 if you do Bluetooth pairing. I think there’s also a way to connect it to PS4 if you try hard enough.
Just the sheer number of platforms it can be used on makes this controller worth its price, so you just have to buy the one controller instead of a bunch of separate ones for different systems.
It also has button mapping software which makes it very customizable to your preferences. The only two nitpicks I have are that the triggers are a little “squishy” and lack tension and that it might be uncomfortable to use if you have smaller hands since it’s on the wider side. Definitely a great pickup if you play on multiple platforms

Very very comfortable controller for PC and my switch.
Love this controller, very very comfortable, however, the controller can't wake the switch up if that is something you are looking for.
Price can be alittle bit cheaper.

I was worried getting this controller as I prefer Xbox controllers, but I've transitioned to it very easily. It has good battery life, it's comfortable, and all the buttons feel great. Absolutely loving it for Mario Kart.

I need to try something Different for the current game I'm playing. I need a d-pad instead of a knob(? I'm old< I don't know all the terms). Works really well. No lag or anything. Solid construction.

I got this mainly for the d-pad which is fantastic. Feels great on the hand, it’s easy to sync, and the fact that it looks like a SNES controller is a plus. My favorite Nintendo Switch controller I own.

I was recommended this controller by a few friends who had purchased other 8BitDo controllers and were greatly satisfied. After watching some reviews on YouTube, people raved about all its fantastic features. You are able to remap each button and change just about everything about the controller through their easy free software. It works with the Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and Android. It doesn't require any adapters, and it very easy to set up. It is extremely comfortable and I find it preferable to my Xbox One controller, which now collects dust. I would recommend it as a great alternative to the Switch Pro Controller, Xbox One Controller, and the DualShock 4 controller.
