I have really enjoyed using this for my Switch. The layout is much easier to use if you are used to a PlayStation controller layout than the Power A Switch controllers. I like that the Bluetooth also allows use on my Android phone and also I can use this on my Raspberry Pi for emulation station. The SNES throwback look doesn't hurt either. Great first iteration.

I needed a back up controller for my Nintendo Switch and I was very surprised at how well these controllers were built. The analog sticks are fantastic and so far I have not yet felt any drifting on them. I use these controllers more often than my pro controller than I paid more for. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs a controller that does not want to spend a lot of money on.

After playing Rayman Legends with my kids, my hands were cramping up from using the tiny JoyCon controllers. Bought this 8BidDo controller and have been loving it! Far easier to pull off tricky moves and easier on the hands with the larger size.
Only con I can think of is that it took a few tries to get it paired with my console.

Despite the late delivery from FedEx. I'm happy with my purchase with this 8bitdo SN30 Pro Plus Controller for my November birthday gift to myself. I'd got this controller to play on my phone and on my Nintendo Switch as a 2nd player controller. I'll give this product, 4 stars. The only cons with this controller is: build quality doesn't felt up to par with other manufacturers, difficult to connect to both of my phone and Nintendo Switch and that firmware updates isn't available for Android. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the 8bitdo SN30 Pro Plus Controller.. I'll definitely buy again

I've been using this with my Switch, and it's much better than using two Joycons in a grip. The quality is great. All the buttons feel firm and the bluetooth is responsive. The only negative is that I think the motion controls are not as precise as the Nintendo controllers. Not a huge issue since precise motion control isn't needed all that much, but it may be noticeable to some people.

Best 3rd Party Controller

This is definitely the best 3rd party controller for the Switch. It even beats out the Pro controller in terms of stick feel, the d-pad, and button response. The d-pad deserves special recognition because it's absolutely fantastic.
The only real downside is that it can't turn on the Switch like the Pro controller can and can't be used for Amiibos. Other than those nitpicks, it's practically perfect.

Excellent D-Pad and the analog sticks get the job done.
Wanted a controller that could work for different consoles but is primarily for the switch. Also wanted a controller which could have its batteries swapped out easily.
A great D-pad coupled with SNES style buttons are what sold me on this. Don’t have a Switch Pro to compare to, but I’m 100% happy. Zero lag.

This is the best alternate to the switch Pro controller I've used. Me being a PlayStation guy, i was already at home with this controller and it looks good to have that classic SNES feel to it also. The Dpad is also better than the dpad on the switch pro controller. This controller is also good for PC if you have any old game that need a good need dpad.

This is legitimately the best third party controller I've ever owned. 8bitdo produces such incredible products. My only nitpick is that I prefer offset analog sticks, but I find these very tolerable. Just a solid product all around, with lots of compatibility across consoles, phones, pc.

And cheaper to boot! Feels great, the only part that SORTA stinks is that turning it on takes a few seconds longer than official Pro controller. Unlike the official pro controller, however, you can turn it off when you're done with it by holding Start. So already, big fan. Throw out the official pro controllers and their junky D-pads.

I use these controllers primarily for PC use and it works way better than I was expecting. I also use an X-Box One and a DS4 on my PC and this works at least as well as either of those. My wife prefers the SN30 Pro+ over the others. It's also way more solid than I expected it to feel and neither of the controllers I ordered have any analog drift on the sticks.

This controller works great! I use it with the Switch. It's less expensive than the pro controller, and as a bonus, it's compatible with several other platforms as well (PC, Raspberry Pi, etc.). I actually like the d-pad on this much better than the d-pad on the Switch Pro controller. Definitely a great buy.
The con: it doesn't support Amiibo.

Comfortable controller, great for playing classic 2D NES/SNES or modern 2D games. D-pad location is great for these games, but the left joystick is placed less comfortably for 3D games that use the joystick.
So far I've only used it on my Switch, but I really like that I can use it elsewhere too!

I bought this to use with my Epic Games "The Witness" game. It works very well and is easier to use than the keyboard/mouse controls I had been using. Setup was not quite problem free, but once it is set up, it works fine. It's comfortable to hold and very responsive. I will use it for other games once I master this one ;^)

I love that this controller takes the best cues of the Xbox (tight analog triggers, hefty), PlayStation (parallel stick layout), and Nintendo (button layout, dpad, aesthetics) controllers.
Keep in mind that gyro and remapping the star button only work in switch mode. Rumble doesn't work correctly in Steam using Switch mode, so X-input has the overall best compatibility but it's a bummer that I can't quite get everything out of the controller in *one* mode on PC.

Bought this to use as a controller for my switch. Love the combination of the old school and modern look and feel. A major plus is the battery life, as it last twice as long as my pro controller! Hands down my favorite switch controller next to the pro controller.

This controller is one of, if not the best controller out right now for the Nintendo switch! Only negative is that it can’t wage the switch up from sleep mode. Other then that it’s a 5/5!
