They appreciate its comfortable design and reasonable price point. The D-pad and overall design also receive positive feedback for their functionality and aesthetics. While some customers mention the controller's larger size than expected, the main drawbacks mentioned are the lack of true HD rumble and NFC capabilities, as well as issues with the wake-up function and Amiibo support.

The only drawback this controller has it’s that it can’t turn on the Switch like a Pro Controller. But, I find it better in every other way! Just look up some YouTube videos on it.

Read the instructions included with the controller before attempting to register it to the system. It feels durable, solid, well built. It isn't as heavy or comfortable as a Pro Controller, but that is just me. Some with smaller hands might prefer it's slightly smaller size.

A great alternative to buying the pro controller through Nintendo and saving yourself some extra money. Overall great build quality however I do wish this controller had the same feature to turn on the switch by holding the home button when the Switch is on Standby.

Feels like old school, functions like new school. Well packaged, light and feels very sturdy. Long battery life and buttons feel placed very well. Just a great overall controller.

This is a great third party controller and I would actually prefer it over the Switch Pro controller if it had a stronger rumble. The advantage is that you can use this controller not only on the Switch but also on PC and Android devices. Pairing the controller on your Switch is very easy and fast and it recognizes the controller instantly. If you prefer the symmetrical stick placement on your controller instead of the asymmetrical placement offered on the pro controller, I highly recommend the device. The controller comes with a rechargeable battery pack and you can charge it via usb-c (comes with a charging cable).

This quickly became my go to controller. I purchased it to use on my Switch, but it was so good and comfortable that I now use it for my tablet and PC. Switching from 1 device to another is smooth and seamless. Great battery life, but I wish the battery was not proprietary.

Probably the best controller this company has put out. Had no sync issues, buttons are responsive and customizable. Only nitpick is the controller cannot wake up the Switch from sleep mode.

I got this for my switch lite. I love it. It's much more comfortable to hold. The buttons have a nice feel to them; not mushy at all. I also plan to use it on the RetroPie I'm building.

Compatibility works straight out of the box. Buttons and D pad are just like the snes which is a plus and the thumbsticks have the right amount of resistance. overall it has no flaw.

If you’re thinking about getting a controller for you’re game system, then get the 8BitDo series of controllers. They are really good quality controllers for the price.

The ability to program Turbo/hold with the 8bitdo software is amazing for Animal Crossing. Also just a good controller overall for everything else. Comfortable and lightweight.

The only caveat is the lack of waking up the Nintendo Switch (but none of the 3rd party controllers can do this). Except this warning, this controller are great from all aspects.

This is a very comfortable and customizable alternative to the first party Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. The Directional pad reliability is worth it alone since the Nintendo Pro Controller sometimes registers incorrect inputs. The cheaper price makes it a no brainer.

Controller works well with Switch games, only issue is that every free to play game on the switch that I've used this controller with, there is very noticeable input lag. Now onto Android games. Some free to play games this controller works really well with, I tried it with some popular F2P games and once again I had bad input lag, it worked perfectly with racing games. So I have minecraft on android and also experienced input lag. I'm currently gone from my home for a month so I couldn't test this controller on a PC. It's not that bad of a controller, I intended to use it on my switch and the games I use it for is perfect and smooth. If I didn't experience any input lag this controller would be rated at 5 stars.

8bitdo controllers have always been excellent, but this is definitely the best all-around controller that I’ve bought from them. All day battery life and button maping.

This is honestly better then a pro controller. Feels great to hold for long periods of time. I'd suggest using this mostly for 2-D or indie games.
