Retro Gaming Must Have

Got two of these for my Raspberry PI 4 running RetroPie. They were nearly seamless to setup. They hold a charge well, fit nicely in the hand, and work for all games I've tried them with. Some reviewers have complained about the buttons being offset slightly from the original SNES controllers. I have some original SNES controllers that I still use and although I agree that the offset is noticeable, it does not affect my game play at all. I highly recommend these controllers for any retro gaming, but they are also versatile enough to work for most new games too!

Very well made and lots of possibilities for connecting to different systems via USB or Bluetooth. I bought primarily to use with a Raspberry Pi 4 via Bluetooth and it works well. The buttons are arranged well and respond nicely. The D-pad is a little stiff, but very responsive. The analog joysticks are well-placed and work really well. Expensive, but you get what you pay for!

This is mainly made for a switch so it works just fine on the system. Using this to emulate games or play computer games is great, it feels nice and responsive. Not only that but there's also different modes to connect to so its pretty versatile

With a tried, tested and true shape that has been seamlessly updated to modern standards, absolutely a controller that belongs in any collection. Fantastic analogue sticks that feel better than the sticks I have used on other similar controllers such as the Switch pro controller, amazing D-PAD that functions with the best of them which is sure to keep 2D aficionados happy, solidly constructed face buttons with trigger buttons that just have an oh so satisfying click when you press them.

Easy to pair, works out of the box w/ Mac. Tried hooking it up to Windows PC in X mode and most of the buttons didn’t work, need to do further research here. Controllers inputs and buttons are responsive and work well.

Been using it with my Switch and it works well. It has the feel of an older SNES controller with more buttons. I tried to use it with PC games but went back to an Xbox One controller.

Bought this for my switch lite to have the option of playing table top mode. Love the controller. It’s easy to setup and it’s quite responsive. The buttons are a little bit more clicky than those on the switch unit itself. The controller sticks are just a tad longer than those on the switch unit. They are not issues as I was able to get used to those differences easily. The controller is light so it’s comfortable during use.

Pros: This controller is amazing works with multiple gaming platforms, comfortable with a retro feel. Long lasting charge and recharges with usb-C.
Cons: doesn't have grips for resting and rapping palms around like competitive controllers.
Despite cons, great product! If you want to avoid the cons, there is the 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ model with grips. *Recommend costumer request BEST BUY to stock the 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ model

It works well as a Bluetooth controller. It is a bit expensive, but most controllers are so you don't really have many options that are cheaper anyway.

Nice feel!
Great range!
Can't really feel any lag but I don't really play and "twitchy" type games.
Side note: If you are having problems syncing with bluetooth on your PC, make sure your wifi antenna is plugged into the 2 "cable tv" looking inputs on the back I/O panel. I don't use wifi so I never plugged it in. Apparently my bluetooth antenna is part of that too. Now I know.

It’s a quality built controller, although I wish I had waited for the Xbox themed one as it’s a little confusing to have A and B switched on the PC, but I love the fact that it works with the switch.
One problem is that it’s Bluetooth range isn’t fantastic with pc- it’ll work when it’s close to my laptop (about 2 feet away) but any further than 3-4 feet and it has a tendency to lag.
