Customers express satisfaction with the Ultimate Bluetooth Controller's build quality, connectivity, battery life, charging dock, ergonomics, compatibility, and overall feel. However, some customers have reported concerns about potential stick drift and the controller's size. While the absence of NFC functionality was noted, it was not universally considered a drawback.

The quality is great. The controls all feel great except finding the right button is challenging. Would love the plus and minus buttons to have plus and minus shapes that you can feel and have them closer to the joycon locations. Even the abxy buttons get miss presses because of the small size of the controller. Documentation is not good and it was really challenging to find the right support software. Had an issue with phantom trigger presses that after I finally found the support software I was able to resolve. Still have not figured out how to keep and use the customization that the software let me set up.

If anyone were to get a pro controller for their Nintendo Switch, this is the controller they should get.
I used to have the standard Switch Pro Controller, and it ran fine. . . except for the fact that the RB button started acting up, and on top of that, the controller still does get stick drift due to the type of stick it is.
With the 8BitDo Ultimate, it uses hall-effect joysticks, meaning that it uses magnets to control the movement rather than potentiometers that typical controllers use. This means that the sticks won't wear out for a long while, even after harsh use.
Latency is non-existent. Everything responds pretty much instantly. The only thing is that it doesn't have NFC capabilities, which could be a bit of a deal breaker for some if they want that. But you could also use the Joycons for that purpose.
Aside from that though, the 8BitDo does everything the regular Switch Pro Controller does, just better. Definitely worth getting.

You get a controller with hall effect sticks (that won't develop drift after a month or two), Bluetooth, 2.4ghz and a charging station all for a great price.
Worth picking up if you just want a good quality PC or switch controller that will last.

Very nice controller. I’ve had the Sn30 Pro for a few years and it was great besides having serious issues syncing with the Switch. This works much better and the dock is a really nice touch. It’s been great so far.
I haven’t tried it on a PC/Mac or Android device yet. Mine is mainly for the Switch. This is the best Switch controller outside of the Nintendo Pro and it loos cool too. Great quality like everything else I’ve had from 8Bitdo.

Been using the 8BitDo Ultimate and it honestly feels way more premium than expected. The build quality is solid, buttons feel great, and the dock with the built-in dongle is A1—clean, convenient, and always ready to go. Easy pick.

Honestly love it! Was looking for a cheaper alternative to the switch pro controller and honestly for 20 bucks less this is as good if not better. Build quality is great and every button and joysticks feels rock solid. Plus the fact that it comes with a dock charger is a godsend.

Needed a controller for the switch - this one is awesome. Feels great in hand and connectivity is smooth. Also looks good!

It kinda makes you scratch your head because this controller feels much more premium than what they're charging for. I love the textured feel it has but it doesn't "feel" textured. It grips really well. Couple things to get used to is that it isn't as wide as other controllers so it feels a little weird at first. If you've got really big hands you may come across a little bit more fatigue than say an xbox or actual nintendo controller. However, you get used to it super quick and it feels amazing. Triggers are wonderful. It is super nice in every respect and plus... you get a charging dock and it is super convenient to use. You'll regret not buying it.

I saw reviews for this on reddit, suggesting it is the best bang-for-the-buck controller. I have to say that I agree. Feels very solid in my hands and has great feedback.

Been using this controller for a few weeks now and gotta say I'm in love with it. The hall effects joysticks are wonderful. The ergonomics feel great on the controller as well. The only real complaint I have is that the face buttons are in the Nintendo orientation, but I rarely ever have to look down at my controller personally so it doesn't bother me all too much. I love the fact that the controller automatically starts connecting as soon as you take it off the charging dock as well as turning off when you place it back on, very handy feature.

If you are a PC controller gamer like me then this is a must have. Never really knew about these but was tired of spending money on X-box controller that never lasted and had connection issues at every turn. Enter the 8BitDo. It is very nice and from what i understand you can't get joystick drift on these. Love the recharge stand feature for these. I have only had for about a month but not one issue so for with it! Got this for my desktop PC and even bought another for my laptop. And the price for these compared to X-box controllers is so nice!

As you can see from the title of this review I really REALLY like this controller. It pairs easily to my switch and with a flip of a switch it pairs to my pc. The hall effect thumbsticks are great and even after a month I still have ZERO stick drift. Now, with this being the NINTENDO SWITCH lay out you HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE ON YOUR PC in order for it to work like an xbox controller on your pc. It only took me 2 tries to get it down and now everything is perfect. (One to flip x y b a and one to map the back buttons) The best part for me personally is the charging dock because oh my goodness does it feel so cool just slappin it on there watching the bar light up indicating its charging. It kind of makes it look like an otem you use in the end game to beat the big bad boss lol.

8bitdo has made a solid easy and user friendly controller that removes the suspicion of if your joy sticks will start to drift etc. This controller features hall effect joysticks that just seamlessly move so freely. I absolutely love this controller it feels better then orginal switch controller and some other controllers. 100% would reconmend to anyone whos looking for a universal controller with paddles

The size is good even though it has a switch pro controller design. Being able to dock it once you're done with it is awesome instead having a long cable just hanging. If the wireless dongle is inserted into the dock it will seamlessly connect through that which makes easy to pick up for PC play. The back plastic texture makes it feel high quality. Good controller overall.

I've used Xbox controllers as long as I can remember and this is a really good alternative for the price. The build quality is super solid and all of the buttons and sticks feel pretty good too. The included charging dock and dongle are a big plus for the price. Solid 4.9/5. Just wish it came with a charing brick too but oh well. Most people have plenty of those laying around anyway

Great controller! I use it for bith the switch and my pc. Setup is easy. My only issue that I can't seem to solve is that there is a very slight delay when using for the switch. Other than that, it's a solidly built control and great for the price

This is quite possibly the best non-Nintendo pro controller for Switch. Pretty good quality, controls great and has most features of the Nintendo branded one. Battery life is great too, and the included dock is a nice touch. I'm docking a star for a few of reasons. First, is the controller can't turn on the Switch. Second, no HD rumble, just standard rumble. And third, the dock makes an audible high pitched whine which can get annoying if the dock stays close.
