Bought this so I could use my PS4 controller on the switch. It works great and I haven't had any problems with it so far. This is way cheaper than buying a pro controller or joy cons. If you have a ps4 or xbox and like that controller this is a no brainer.

I was going to buy a Nintendo switch pro controller for when I'm gaming on my TV. The pro controllers are quite expensive at $70. I already have four Dual Shock 4 controllers. With this device it is as simple as plugging the adapter into the switch dock. After plugging into the switch dock put the dual shock into pairing mode by holding down the PS home button and share button and once the controller starts flashing white hit the small button on the side of the adapter. On the switch it will pop right up as a pro controller, select it there under controller settings and you are good to go. The dual shock works perfect and even the vibration works. The only con I can think of is that you have to get used to the fact that the buttons are in a different order instead of X being start it ends up being O. Once you get used to this controller mapping it works flawlessly and you'll have an extra $50 in your pocket for another game!! I also forgot to mention you can use this to pair controllers with laptops and many other devices. Great job guys awesome product!!

awesome little dongle gadget, much cheaper alternative to buying a new controller if you already have a DualShock 4 or xbox one controller lying around. but first you need to update the dongle for it to work properly

I was able to connect my xbox controller to my switch. No more hurt fingers due to small buttons. And, I didn't have to buy a new controller. It connected seamlessly.

I use this to play Switch and PC with an Xbox One controller, and it works perfect. Totally wireless, no input lag, easy syncing. It almost seems like magic. Wish I had something like this growing up. I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves to game but has a preferred controller.

I use this with the PS4 controller to play on the Nintendo Switch. I updated the firmware by plugging it into my PC. The USB stick works as stated. No issues on my end. I just wish 8BITDO would include more instructions in the box. I had to look online on their site for help.

Very usefull, I use with a switch and pc, you need to download an update so it can support a xbox elite or new controllers but the support on the page is very good too

Works perfectly to pair my wiimote + wii pro controller to the switch. Allows me to leverage another controller without shelling out extra money. Worth every penny. Getting an open box deal makes it even better. 8bitdo has done a great job with this dongle.

I'm a PC user and mainly need this for my DS4 / WiiU Pro Controller. Great functionality. Just needs a quick update and the sync button works super fast! Only downside is 1 controller can sync at a time but that's honestly to be expected with this sort of unit. Great value.

I bought this because i love the playstation controller layout and did not want to buy a switch pro controller. This works great with both Dualshock 4 and Dualsense 5 controllers. As another review said, the only problem with this is its too thick on the sides so if you try to connect two of them together on the switch dock it wont fit. I just use the one behind the dock. If you do that make sure to have the dock at a way so the signal is strong for both controllers

Easy to use and setup. Plugged it in and synced my ps4 controller to the usb stick and computer recognized the ps4 controller. However, games reads the ps4 controller as a xbox controller.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The setup was frustrating, but using my existing Xbox One controller is killer.

Works perfectly with all of my controllers all games I've tried it on. Syncing with PS4 and 8bitdo controllers is literally a one-step process. I highly recommend this adaptor!

This was an excellent buy. Pluged it in and was able to use a Xbox One control with th Switch. You can only connect one controller to it though. Each controller requires its own adapter. A lot cheaper than paying for yet another controller.

Hey this thing works great, pop it in your computer and then it's a simple button press on the adapter and your controller to get them to sync up. Brick design is cute, and if you don't like it just put it in a USB in the back.

I was skeptical at first with using a PS4 controller on the Nintendo switch. But, after a little research reading through the reviews, the instructions were found. Ignore the packaging and follow the instructions below to get the PS4 dual shock controller to pair with the Nintendo switch. Under setting on the switch, enable Pro Controller/Wired Controller. Plug in the device to one of the USB ports on the switch dock. Click the sync button on the adapter until it flashes quickly and then click and hold the Share AND PS buttons (At the same time) on the Dualshock until the light flashes on the PS4 controller. Once the controller stops flashing and is paired, it turns blue.

First thing anyone should do is be sure to update the firmware. I could not get the PS4 controller to work due to my own fault. The controller was no charged. Once I used a charged controller and had the updated firmware it work perfectly. One thing to note with PS4 controllers. They will connect to your PC wired or wireless if you have a Bluetooth connection. I wanted to use the wireless feature but did not have Bluetooth built in to my motherboard. So I would have had to either pay $14 for a Bluetooth adapter or $20 for this. This is perfect as now I can use for my PC or switch. I actually purchased 2 now. You must have two if you wish to use two controllers at the same time. So far love this little device.

It allows me to use my Xbox One Controller with the Steam Link app on my Samsung cell phone. It does exactly what I need the way I need it to. And the red brick look gives it that perfect geeky feel.

If you have a PS3 or PS4 controller and want to use it with a Switch, get this adapter. Its cheaper than buying another Switch controller. And works great.

I use this to connect my PS4 controller to my Nintendo Switch and it works great! All I had to do was connect this adapter to the side of the Switch dock where the usb port is and sync up the controller and I was done! Make sure before you sync to go into the Switch settings and enable the option for “Wired Pro Controller”. It is necessary for this to work properly and it states it in the manual, but I almost forgot! All in all, it is working great still and I also use this adapter to play games on my PC with my PS4 controller as well.
