This film is based on the diary of a woman who did become involved in a highly charged but abusive relationship with a man such as this one portrayed by Micky Rourke pre surgery. If you love NYC and are not offended by explicit sexual scenes this is a great watch. Look for the very intense love scene in the clock tower of Cooper Union. The author of the diary killed herself by the way.

I was really hoping for a Blu Ray version with a digital copy but this works too. A real scorching hot movie with a lot of passion between Mickey O'Rourke and Kim Basinger. love this movie!!
