    The device is a power adapter for the Nintendo Switch dock. We purchased it while on a trip to stand in for the one which was forgotten at home. It worked perfectly. Needless to say there was no setup or configuration required.

    Nintendo made a specific power adapter because the Switch draws a special amount of power. They're selling a solution to a problem they may themselves. The things works but its just expensive
