Bought this as a replacement that came with my original switch. I didn't want to purchase a 3rd party one so I just stuck with the Nintendo brand. Works great and hopefully this last me for years. Thank you.

Buy Nintendo original especially if you are worried about issues with cheap power adapters. Great replacement or extra power supply, we have one power supply hooked to dock and this goes to different rooms or homes so we don’t have to disconnect the dock

My Amazon Warehouse purchase didn’t include the power adapter. I don’t want to return because it was in such an excellent condition. Glad Best Buy sold these adapters separately. This is genuine product compatible with Switch. Works well so far and my dock is always connected to the power.

Sometimes one cable isn't enough. You might have left yours at home and then when you're away playing at your friends house and your switch is low on battery, you realize you need another one and it would be beneficial to own more than one cable. I've been happy keeping one at home and having one on the go.

I bought this extra charger to use with my Nintendo Switch when I leave the house, because unplugging the included charger from my Switch whenever I leave town would be a major pain. This is exactly the same as the included charger that comes with the console and is comparably priced to Belkin USB-C cables that serve the same function.

Original switch charger was no longer charging. After 3 years, I replaced it with the Nintendo authentic charger as opposed to the other brands. Switch charges just fine now and I have a happy son!

This charger was a excellent price and came in handy when my sons adapter broke on a short notice and at a bad time. I surprised them with it , which made everyone happy! I would recommend this to anyone who needs a game charger for for their game system. We are all so happy!!

If you use your switch in both docked and standalone, an extra charger is a must to keep wear and tear down on the dock. The switch only lasts a couple hours so this really is a need if you play for more than that. This also charges USB C devices FAST. It charges my Samsung S8 from dead to 100% in about 40 mins.

Works great for our second switch dock. Surprised that the dock didn’t come with one and we had to purchase this but worth getting an official one No mag safe. very bulky and very slippery. Did not feel my mini was protected

Here's a good rule of thumb. Whenever you are purchasing an accessory for your expensive electronics that provide power, always buy OEM. This AC Adapter is from Nintendo, licensed by Nintendo, and, most importantly, BACKED by Nintendo in case of any damage it may cause to your Nintendo Switch.

I bought this as a second plug for my sons Nintendo switch to have for visiting out of town family. He can’t seem find it when we get home so yes you definitely need two of these.

After doing research, it looks like it is always recommended to purchase the name brand cord for the switch. I’ve seen too many third party cord cause the console to overload. It works perfect with our extra Switch dock in the other room!
