Works as described, I purchased this as an extra charger so I can play when I'm not near the dock and it functions perfectly.

Original plug works as intended! I use this to move my dock into another room. It can also charge the switch directly which is nice.

Bought this as we have 2 switches but 1 cradle. No more fighting between brothers as to who gets the cradle to charge when battery low.

This charger is the same that comes with the Nintendo switch. Having two is a must for the gamer on the go! I would recommend purchasing this product with the switch intially.

You can charge the switch with a generic C charger but if you want to be able to play on the tv, the dock requires to use a official Nintendo Switch AC adapter.

Works great and as intended. I use it for traveling so I dont have to unplug the one connected to my switch. Can also be used to charge other usb-c electronics

Nintendo designed the Switch with many technical inconveniences, one of the biggest of which are how the device charges. Even though the Switch has a USB-C port, it can't be safely charged with any USB-C cable. You could technically charge the Switch with any USB-C cable , but it doesn't come without the risk of damaging your system even though the USB-C port on the Switch could fit all USB-C cables. Nintendo even warns you about the dangers of not using their proprietary charger to charge your Switch. That means you have no choice to buy this charger if you lost the one that came with your Switch. To make matters worse, you can't plug this charger on any USB-C port to charge your Switch via USB because it only plugs on the wall. It sucks that you have to pay $35 for a charger that is limited to charging through wall outlets, even though you can easily buy USB-C cables that are two times cheaper without being restricted to walls. The only reason why I'm not giving this item less than 3 Stars is because the Nintendo Switch is an old system that released all the way back in 2017, so I can't set my expectations too high. It is Nintendo's fault for not designing the Switch to safely charge on all USB-C cables that match the Switch's USB port.

Was same quality cable that comes with the oled switch. Good device exactly what I needed.

Lost my original and had to purchase a replacement. Didn’t want to risk it with an off brand and damage my device. A bit pricey for what it is.
