There really isn't anything inherently good or bad about this. It's essentially the same AC Adapter that comes with the system. It can help having a second one if you intend on using the system portably as unhooking cables from the back of TV stand is always a hassle. Outside of that, it's whatever. Get this if having an extra will fit your lifestyle.

Its the original so works great. No other charger will let you dock the system to the tv

Bought this as a second adapter for my sons switch. It is a pain to have to unplug and plug from the base that is connected to the TV. Where ever you wanted to travel with the switch. Could have been a tab cheaper for cost wise but still a good idea to have two.

Having a extra charger is always a good idea. I keep it upstairs, so when I don't feel like playing on the big TV downstairs I can keep playing for hours upstairs.

When it comes to powering and charging your switch, you don't want to have those third-party adapters that may be of flimsy quality. Also the voltage requirements on the Switch may be fickle, so you don't want to risk doing any damage. Not only that, but sometimes you want the power cord to be with the Dock, but you want a second power cord if you want to charge the Switch in a different room.
