The Worst USB-C Charging Solution for Gaming

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo designed the Switch with many technical inconveniences, one of the biggest of which are how the device charges. Even though the Switch has a USB-C port, it can't be safely charged with any USB-C cable. You could technically charge the Switch with any USB-C cable , but it doesn't come without the risk of damaging your system even though the USB-C port on the Switch could fit all USB-C cables. Nintendo even warns you about the dangers of not using their proprietary charger to charge your Switch. That means you have no choice to buy this charger if you lost the one that came with your Switch. To make matters worse, you can't plug this charger on any USB-C port to charge your Switch via USB because it only plugs on the wall. It sucks that you have to pay $35 for a charger that is limited to charging through wall outlets, even though you can easily buy USB-C cables that are two times cheaper without being restricted to walls. The only reason why I'm not giving this item less than 3 Stars is because the Nintendo Switch is an old system that released all the way back in 2017, so I can't set my expectations too high. It is Nintendo's fault for not designing the Switch to safely charge on all USB-C cables that match the Switch's USB port.
