    We bought this extra power cord for our Switch so we could leave one in the dock. Highly recommend having two for ease of access and travel. You could use a different USB-C charger, but this is just as easy and guaranteed to be safe.

    Worked out perfectly as I received my switch with a European outlet plug, so this was definitely worth getting. Works still to this day, love it.

    Plan on travelling with the Switch but I don't have to have to remove the base power supply that is in my entertainment center... perfect option.. just wish it was smaller and would fit into the travel case. This is exactly like the power supply that ships with the Switch

    Purchased this for traveling/having in my bag. It is...bulky. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider if you're bringing it with you. Much less bulky than taking the entire dock with you and much more convenient than having to disconnect a dock from a tv in order to charge your switch outside of your home. It's safest to go with nintendo-licensed products to avoid bricking your switch, so this is really the way to go imo. That said, the switch battery is great and will hold up through the day if you're playing on transit or the like, so this is more for longer-term travel in my experience, or ease of charging when your dock isn't as accessible.
