I keep one in each of my two docks, have one to charge my external battery pack, and one for the switch itself if needed. The loss of a star only comes as I think it should be just a bit longer.

Don't use it for other things

It would no longer power the Switch while docked. It's the best thing for the Switch, but only the Switch.
