They're definitely better than the third party options out there, but they cost way more and are still susceptible to breakage if you or your child plans on using it to charge their Switch directly while playing. My advice? Buy this and ONLY using it in conjunction with the dock and keep it connected. Get a cheaper 3rd-party charger for charging the switch while playing.

Kind of a bummer I felt like I needed to buy an extra power cable. I ended up using the original one with the TV dock so I needed one to use when the Switch was mobile.
