The Nintendo Switch has some odd power draw specifications, even when being charged in handheld mode. So while it can technically be charged using any USB-C charger, it’s a very good idea to use an official Nintendo charger that can provide the exact charging profile that the Switch wants. If you are planning to charge your Switch outside of the dock, this is a must-buy!

Barges devices and joycons as you use it. If you plan on using the switch in bed or away from your dock for more than a couple hours this is a must.

Needed an extra charger because I did not want to keep unplugging the dock. I went with the official Nintendo one since many of the reviews for others are full of horror stories. It is kind of expensive for what it is but at least I know my console is safe and tnat it can provide enough power to charge it while playing. I only wish the cord was slightly longer.

Yea. Of course it works as a replacement. I tried other off brands that did not function properly or got hot. At least Nintendo doesn't try to charge double or triple what it is worth for a charger like some other companies that use fruit as their logo.

This accessory is a must have in my honest opinion due to a couple of reasons. The first reason Not only can I now seamlessly transfer from my TV to the tablet and also not have to disconnect the AC adapter from the dock. I constantly have full power and never need to worry about a full charge. I highly recommend that you do the same and be worry-free just like I am.

Whenever Nintendo releases anything that is absolutely necessary for their consoles, it will always be better (Obviously) than anything that is third party. This is the exact same adapter that comes with the Switch just in a different package, I haven't had any issues at all with this and quite frankly, I don't trust anything unless it comes straight from Nintendo. This is no different and has given me absolutely no issues, get this over anything third party and you won't regret it.

Works great and really fast! My son had a different charger before I actually bought him the Nintendo 1 and it didn’t work too well but this 1 I’ll give 5 stars maybe 10 if there was a button ☺️☺️
