I purchased this Chromebook as a second and portable computer. The Chromebook itself is fast and nice to look at with its brushed aluminum finish. My main complaint is that I cannot yet download Android apps. That would really merit a much higher rating. But right now, for a more complete laptop experience, I would recommend Windows 10 or OSX.

My son loves his chrome book. It is light weight and easy for raking to school!

No viruses no clutter. Super easy and so lightweight. Charges so quickly. All the best things of chromebooks. Some things u need to be able to download to a pc. But for on the go. It’s perfect. Had this for a long time now. And Absolutely zero issues.

Overall the chrome book was a good buy it is light weight and very good price not expensive.

I am glad I bought this instead of another win 10 pc. It has just what I need and not a lot of spamware. It is a bit different to use, take a bit of time getting used to. The only drawback is the keyboard I am not crazy about esp compared to my hp laptop from 8 yrs ago, I also have to say the help included is not the not the best, live tech support is ok, but the help online not so much.

The Acer Chromebook 14 is by far the best chromebook I've used in terms of build quality and screen quality. This laptop excels in this categories and is a no-brainer pick for those of whom these aspects are most important. The FHD 1080p IPS screen is a very welcome sight. Most laptops in the sub-15" screen category do not have FHD screens (let alone IPS). The full aluminum body is definitely the shining star of this laptop though. You'll be hard pressed to find another full metal body laptop in this price range. Though the aluminum may not be of the same caliber as say, what Apple uses on Macbooks, it is still miles above any of the standard plastics plaguing this segment of the laptop market. There are downsides to this laptop though. In my opinion, what would make this laptop absolutely perfect, would be a back-lit keyboard and moving the speakers from the bottom of the laptop to both sides of the keyboard. A personal preference would also be to upsize the screen to 15". Other than those three wishes, I have absolutely nothing otherwise to say negatively about the laptop. In terms of ChromeOS, as a first time user I am rather enjoying the OS. It's very basic, but does everything you would need it to do in that realm. Web browsing, videos/movies/music, and word processing are all able to be done with ease on the OS. With the future looking bright due to full android play store availability, I see the chromebook market become much much bigger.

You can't beat the value @$299. Sure it doesn't have a touch screen but the build quality is solid. The performance is good enough for what we currently do with chromebooks. I'm not one to have 20 tabs open. The only drawback (really for all 1080p screens) is that text on screen may be a little small for people. Recommended.

It is a sold Chrome book entry. You want to be able to access the web, be mobile, do not need the bells and whistles of a full lap top and want a larger screen than your cell phone? Chrome book is perfect for you. This entry is solid, affordable, and priced at a point where I can take it to the beach or pool and not worry.

The computer on sale cost $200 plus tax. It works just like any laptop should. The windows system and Office products work as designed. No down side noted.

My children have Chromebooks at school. This one is lightweight and very easy to use

Aluminum body is way better than plastic. Keys and pad are good. Pad works similar to a mac and again is good. I still use a mouse just for convenience. Google software is excellent and simple. If you doing facebook, email, basic documents (google drive) no reason to spend the money on a full priced lap top. This is light weight, fast, bright screen, long battery life. I might buy even a second one.

Just moved into a recently developed neighborhood and we have no wifi service. I needed something to take to a coffee shop and get online to update email, pay bills, news, download music, upload pics, check social media,etc. This little Chromebook is the perfect companion to do just that. Excellent in every way with great battery life, easy layout, nice keyboard. I love it.

I purchased this because my Mac can no longer update and I needed access to Chrome at home for work. If you use the Google extensions and can navigate the easy to use chrome OS, this is an affordable option to get your work done. Make sure to read up on Chromebooks beforehand because there are now a lot of options. The screen on this one being one of the largest although not touch screen.

Almost identical & as fast as a MacBook Air. Runs on a different OS. Priced right.

This is an excellent Chromebook with great build quality and value for money. I have two of them at home for my kids. Unfortunately, this one's keyboard stopped working because we accidentally spilled water on it. But it's still working with an external keyboard.

Bought this for my high school daughter. After a few months, she's had no complaints and uses it every day for school work. This was a good buy.
