This is a quality gaming laptop from a quality brand. Build Quality: Very solid metal construction. The entire shell is made from metal and is cool to the touch. The only plastic construction is evident on the screen assembly that is facing the user. My example has a small creak on the bottom right hinge when the screen is extended and moved around, but it is not a concerning creaking sound and is very common on most laptops. Overall build quality 8.8/10 Performance: Excellent performance. This unit stays exceptionally cool even under load. I see temps around the mid to low 60s (C) At most I've recorded about 75C on the CPU. Fans can get loud, but not unbearable. The turbo button is amazing. You must be plugged into power and have at least 40% battery. Once the button is pressed it overclocks the CPU and GPU slightly. Expect about 5-10% more performance. Fans kick in at 100% in turbo mode. This CPU and GPU combo is a very good pairing along with 16Gb of fast ram. Most all current games will push 100+ FPS at 1080P Ultra settings which pairs nicely with the 144Hz 3ms display. The CPU also comes pre-undervolted out of the box by 100mv which aids in the great CPU temps. Overall performance quality 9.5/10 Display: Beautiful 144Hz 3ms 1080P panel. No obvious light bleeding and this panel is view-able in daylight. Perfect panel for modern games that support high refresh rate. The RTX 2060 is more than capable at pushing over 100 FPS in games and even more when overclocked. To achieve 3ms response time, you must toggle the setting in the acer predator app (There is a dedicated acer app button on the keyboard). Colors are fairly accurate and can be adjusted. Overall display quality 9.5/10 Keyboard: Capable QWERTY US keyboard. It has 3 zone RGB backlighting. The backlighting is very nice and colors are uniform from key to key. No obvious light bleeding. Keys have nice travel and using it for gaming has been nothing but a pleasure (StarCraft II, Overwatch, BFV). Lacks numpad despite being a 15 inch laptop. Overall keyboard quality 9/10 Ports: A healthy selection of ports exists on this machine. (3) USB-A 3.0 ports. (1) Thunderbolt 3 port through USB C (awesome). (1) full size HDMI port. (1) mini display port. (1) Full size Ethernet port (awesome). (1) 3.5mm headphone audio jack. (1) 3.5mm microphone jack. Overall port quality 9.5/10 Battery: Solid battery life on powersave mode (approximately 5.5-6.5hrs light usage). Adequate battery life when gaming (2-2.5hrs typical for gaming laptop). I do not recommend gaming on the go though, unless you have your charger with you. Overall battery quality 8.5/10 Overall scores: Build 8.8/10 Performance 9.5/10 Display 9.5/10 Keyboard 9.0/10 Ports 9.5/10 Battery 8.5/10 Total score: 9.13/10 Overall I really like this laptop, and I think it is an excellent value for the money. Sure it does not have a 9th gen processor, but 8th to 9th gen does not see a notable increase in power. The hardware is future proof and supported for the next 3-4 years so I am confident that buyers will be satisfied. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone in the market for a premium gaming laptop in this price range, and I fully recommend it when it is on sale for $1500 or less. Even at the msrp, nothing really comes close to it, in terms of performance and slimness/portability.

Recently bought this laptop and it is amazing, though I do have like two cons about it they don't alter the experience at all, everything is soooooooooo fast on it and the screen is beautiful and fast. All the games that I have thrown at it run perfectly at high settings. Now for the cons, I wish the backlighting on the keyboard was a bit brighter and wasn't zoned, it's still nice to look at but personally, I would have preferred per key rgb. Also the fans do get a bit loud but I do wear headphones when I use it. The temps run fine and the fact that it is as thin as it is is great. I highly recommend this product its truly just amazing all around.
