Customers are saying

Customers regard the Acer 27" IPS LED monitor highly for its picture quality, refresh rate, and ease of use, frequently praising its value for the price. Many appreciate the monitor's size and color accuracy, though some find the stand somewhat unstable and the lack of built-in speakers and additional HDMI ports to be drawbacks. The absence of a DisplayPort connection was also noted as a shortcoming by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and affordability outweighs the negative comments regarding the monitor's accessories and connectivity options.

    Decent Budget 27" Option

After a month of use, monitor continues to be bright and clear. Some issues with high-action video or video editing, but for the majority of tasks it is more than adequate. Don't expect a high performance monitor, but if you know what you're getting you can't beat the performance for the price.

When I turned it on I knew something wasn’t right. Set up was super easy but it Is not LED as stated here. It is an LCD display which I’m pretty upset about heading to return once this snow storm passes… still seems solid for anyone who doesnt mind LCD

Overall, the acer monitor works but would not recommend if you work with graphics. The white is not white but a bit on the grey side. Its todays version of the Acer S271HL, which I had to replace. This monitor is inferior. It thicker, heavier and uses the old three prong electrical plug. For work, its fine but would not recommend for any other purpose.

Good budget gaming monitor, but no DisplayPort

Pro: 100 Hz Freesync Bright and good color Con: Only has HDMI and VGA The stand This is a good budget gaming monitor, sporting a bright display and up to 100 Hz Freesync. Gaming on it is smooth with good color levels. Being a lower cost option, some features are missing. Most disappointingly, is the lack of DisplayPort. This monitor only has HDMI and VGA, and no audio out. The stand isn’t that great, with it being unadjustable and wobbly. It’s also hard to remove. The panel has thin bezels, but runs a bit thicker at about 2.5 inches deep. The stand is fixed with a latch that is difficult to remove. It’s also really loose and wobbly. It does have VESA mounts at least. The panel menu is operated with a combination of buttons and a knob. The back inputs are very barebone, with just VGA, HDMI, and power. The choice to include a VGA over a DisplayPort is an odd one since it’s harder to find a computer that still has VGA out, and modern GPUs have fewer HDMI. Gaming experience didn’t have any stuttering issues, and provided smooth 100 fps gaming. It may seem that 250 nit isn’t that bright, but in reality, the monitor is plenty bright. The color may lean a little bit to the darker side but not too noticeable. Color contrast looks good, but again, the black levels are a bit dark. The black uniformity is clean, and the white has just a bit of gray around the corners. Viewing angles are great. Overall, no real complaints.

The screen is an LCD type (versus CRT of years ago). The reference to LED is a screen display technology that uses a panel of LEDs as the light source. acer

    Best Budget 27" Gaming Monitor

THIS… Is the Acer KB272 EBI, and has quickly shown itself as a great 1080p gaming monitor, especially for the budget category. From a 100hz refresh rate to a pretty good IPS display panel… it is making a strong claim to set the bar for even higher budget-class monitors. This monitor is an IPS panel meaning it has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, but great viewing angles and a quicker pixel refresh rate time. Acer claims a 1ms refresh rate on the pixel, but they never specify if this is Gray to Gray or something else… either way, it is a great spec for this price point. The Acer KB272 has 250nits of peak brightness, which means you shouldn’t have it in a really well-lit room as it won't show well and is meant for a room that can get dark or you can close the curtains. This monitor comes with a stand on it that has forward and backward tilt, and a 75x75 VESA mount on the back should you want to use a mount that is something other than the one it comes with. The biggest knock against this monitor is that it only has one HDMI and no Display Port, so you are locked into only one choice at a time and you have to swap it if you want something else. It does have a VGA input, but id rather has anything else other than that. When it comes to gaming, from console to PC, this is a great first step in creating an awesome gaming setup. From FreeSync gaming, high refresh rate, and 27” of screen real estate, there really isn’t a monitor close to it in price that is better, so much so that I think this really fights well with monitors that cost double or more. As always, Bestbuy has excellent customer service and return policy, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!

    A Casual Gaming Delight

I'm excited to share my experience with the Acer KA272 monitor. If you're in the market for a budget-friendly, no-fuss gaming display, this one might just hit the sweet spot. So, let's dive into this review! First things first, size matters! The Acer KA272 boasts a generous 27-inch screen, providing me with ample space for immersive gameplay and multitasking. Whether I'm slaying dragons in my favorite RPG or editing gameplay videos, the 1920x1080 resolution ensures crisp visuals that make every pixel pop. Now, some might argue that 100Hz isn't exactly top-tier, but let's be real here – it's buttery smooth enough for most casual gamers like me. The increased refresh rate compared to traditional 60Hz monitors does make a noticeable difference, especially when it comes to reducing motion blur during fast-paced games. The IPS panel is where this monitor shines. Colors are vibrant, and the viewing angles are impressive, so I don't have to be glued to the center of the screen to enjoy an immersive experience. Plus, it's easy on the eyes during long gaming sessions or late-night movie marathons. One of the reasons I fell in love with the Acer KA272 is its no-nonsense setup. I appreciate products that don't make me feel like I need a PhD in engineering to get them up and running. A simple plug-and-play experience was exactly what I was looking for, and this monitor delivered on that front. As for design, the KA272 sports a sleek and modern look that blends well with my gaming setup. The slim bezels lend a touch of elegance, making it easy to get lost in my games without any distracting edges. It doesn't take up much space on my desk, leaving me with more room for my gaming peripherals. When it comes to connectivity, the KA272 provides a decent selection of ports. I can easily hook up my gaming rig using the HDMI and there's even a VGA port for older devices. While I mostly stick to the HDMI for gaming, it's nice to have flexibility for other gadgets. Now, let's address the elephant in the room – the 100Hz refresh rate might not cut it for hardcore competitive gamers. If you're all about those split-second reaction times and smooth 144Hz+ gameplay, the KA272 might not be your cup of tea. But hey, for us casual gamers, it's still a solid choice. I've spent hours diving into various games on this monitor, from RPGs to FPS games, and I've been thoroughly impressed. Colors are accurate, and the overall image quality is more than satisfactory for the price point. The responsiveness is good enough for my needs, and I haven't noticed any significant input lag. In conclusion, the Acer KA272 has been a delightful addition to my gaming setup. It's a budget-friendly monitor that doesn't skimp on quality. The 27-inch size, 1920x1080 resolution, 100Hz refresh rate, and IPS panel create an enjoyable gaming experience without breaking the bank. While it's true that serious competitive gamers might be looking for something with a higher refresh rate, this monitor is perfect for casual gamers like myself who want a solid display without shelling out a fortune. So, if you're in the market for an entry-level gaming monitor that won't disappoint, I highly recommend giving the Acer KA272 a shot!
