I came across this model while it was still (incorrectly) listed as an IPS panel. Make no mistake, this is a TN panel, and the color is not going to be great.
The high resolution of this monitor will make text and games look noticeably more crisp, and I can't stress enough how important a high refresh rate monitor is when playing competitive games. Even in more casual games and daily use, a higher frame rate will be more visually pleasing.
As far as price goes, this monitor simply cannot be beat. The exact same model (TN panel and all) is also for sale in 1080p, at the price of $299. Comparable models from other brands run at least $100 more. However, after using the monitor for a few days, the poor color accuracy is too big of a trade-off for me.

First off I will say, this product has bad reviews based on bestbuy listing it as an IPS monitor which it is not. It is a TN panel. It is a 2015 model, and it is the brother model to the XF270H (without the U at the end). The difference is 1440p vs 1080p and a revamped button system on the monitor.
I know this all because I researched it before purchasing and I also own the 1080p version.
When I was looking and noticed the 1440p was the same price as my current 1080p, I was shocked and ready to pull the trigger.
This was going to be my second screen and the design is almost exact between models.
It is not IPS but it looks fantastic! And I've already been staring at the 1080p version for months.
The XF270HU has a higher resolution (1440p) with all the same features...TN panel, 1ms, 144hz, think bezel frame, freesync, display port, usb hub...etc.
The differences are hard to notice on the pictures but they moved the menu buttons to the front of the display and there are a couple more than the other model (it had a directional menu which was meh). These new buttons are definitely easier to use.
The other difference is that this model is sooo much better calibrated than the other. I spent an hour looking through all the settings and it's basically the same but each picture mode looks entirely different between my 2 screens. The XF270H had to be calibrated a lot (which I found settings to my liking online), but the XF270HU I set to standard and was BLOWN AWAY at the colors and contrast! Red, greens, blues pop, black are still clear while not having a grayish hue. No light bleeding or anything, it's just a seriously good picture.
If I could swap my 1080 model for another one of these bad boys, I would do it in a heartbeat. I love the quality improvement in this monitor and can see myself being happy gaming with this for several years.
If you are in the market for a 144hz gaming monitor and think you need IPS, I would suggest you give this TN a try anyway because it looks so good, it will shock you that it's not an IPS.
Also, I normally never buy products below a 3 or 3.5 star rating but I decided to be the tester on these reviews being bad for a stupid reason.
Hopefully more people pick up this display and write a review so the rating can be fixed to where it should be.
If you look at the brother model XF270H, it has almost a 5 star and this one looks even better so it's only natural that this should be an excellent rated screen but unfortunately best buy or the manufacturer specs had some miscommunication with TN and IPS.
In the end, it's a TN, but the best one I've ever seen and with an unbeatable price in my opinion.
Very very very happy with this monitor!

Monitor is solid for a 1440p and 144hz. I bought this monitor 3 months ago when the reviews had it at as a 1 Star product. Most definitely not a 1 Star product, but I understand since there was a mislabel on Bestbuy’s behalf. I put it as a 5 Star product due to it’s specs, price and lack of cost-efficient competition. Yes the item has a TN screen, but that’s why it isn’t $500+. A monitor to have 1440p and a smooth 144hz, and to be priced at a low $300 is a bargain. I would recommend this product for clients who want to start a decent setup.

this is my first high refresh rate and 1440p monitor. Its pretty good for what it does and and is definitely high quality but the colors are washed out. I assume because its a TN panel and not IPS but definitely do not regret the purchase.

I ordered this knowing that it was a TN panel, not expecting an IPS panel. It is an amazing monitor, 1440p looks amazing, and the color accuracy and contrast is amazing for a TN panel

I’ve been using this monitor for a month or so now and I quite like it. I have a bigger, more expensive monitor that is a bit brighter and clearer, but it was 2-3x the price of this one, so to be expected!

I know that it was originally labeled as an IPS panel when it is a TN but now the issue is fixed. The monitor is beautiful regardless of the panel they used. The claims that it is not accurate at color reproduction are false. With the naked eye you won’t be able to tell anything is off with the colors. Also the viewing angle complaint is also wrong. I can see everything the same regardless of the angle I’m looking at it.
For a $300 144hz 1440 monitor this is a great buy. I have played several games on it and watched many videos and have zero regrets on my purchase.
If you’re looking for a monitor in this range just buy it and don’t listen to the people that are parroting youtubers opinions. This TN panel is great especially for those on a budget

So after seeing all of the one star reviews since it wasnt an IPS panel, I decided to try it anyway, given that its still a 1440p monitor. So after setting up the monitor, i was dissapointed. its very hard to explain but text on the monitor and many websites that had a mainly white color scheme looked off, like they were kinda gritty looking. The color uniformity was also very wrong, with greys looking almost like a gradient if it was full screen. On the plus side, the stand is versatile and the USB hub was a nice touch. But for something on this price, I would probably look elsewhere. I also stopped by the store to look at the demo unit to make sure mine wasnt just a dud and it looks like its inherent to all of them. its dissapointing for sure, but id rather have a much better looking 1080p monitor for the same price. I ended up returning this for the asus vg279q and i am much happier with that overall

A 1440p, 144hz gaming monitor. Nice swivel stand. I bought two of these monitors to use with DisplayPort. I don’t use the speakers or USB ports.
Everything I was looking for in a gaming monitor, while not being terribly expensive.

I don't actually have a PC for the monitor just yet, but the specs fit my needs perfectly and the overall design of the monitor is great. Easy setup process, very slim borders, and multiple stand adjustment features from height to angle for the optimal TN panel experience. The size is perfect for any desk space and a 27" for 1440p is certainly recommended. Though I can't offer any criticism for the display and colors, the specs performance is ideal, and there's no doubt that this monitor is highly underrated because of a previous marketing specs error that has long since been fixed (it advertised IPS instead of TN).

No issue with Acer, but as others have mentioned: this monitor is listed as IPS, but when it shows up, it’s a TN.
Best Buy has almost no way to get in touch with them. No email, live chat doesn’t work, hold times are 60+ minutes.

Listing claims that this monitor is IPS but the sticker on the back of the monitor states its model number as XF270HU Cbmiiprzx which is the TN model designation. It should say XF270HU ABMIIDPRZX as which is the IPS model number.
