The Solid State Drive is awesome

No waiting at all. It is the perfect size and we keep it in the entertainment center in our living room and just bring it out when we need it. With our previous laptop, since it was your standard hard drive, it would take forever to log in so we would put things off just because we didn't want to wait for it to load. Now, we just pull our Acer Aspire out and we are in before you know it. Couldn't be happier with this laptop.

He does not play games on it so we can't speak about its gaming ability. 14 inch is perfect size for his long fingers and hands but yet not to big to take to class daily.

Ironically, right after I purchased this one my previous machine developed a problem with the touchscreen. As I was out of warranty I purchased the restore usb to reset to factory and that did not help. My touch works intermittently even after the restore. That's why i returned this machine.

Good laptop - if you don't require internet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing but issues with this laptop staying connected to the wifi if you move it more than 6 ft from the router - it "loses connection " every couple of mins so it may as well be a desktop. Goggle the model with "wifi issues" and see all the people with the same issue. 5 months of frustration. Updated everything including drivers - Acer asks you to return it to their service center and have no computer in the meantime. From others who have actually done this all they do is change the card but they still had issues. Never again! If this laptop didn't have the wifi issue it would be a great laptop.

Poor Quality and Service

Sent back to Acer for warranty repair and they blamed failure on liquid spill which was not the case. ACER deemed the laptop a total loss and sent it back without fixing. Keep in mind everything works other than the back light. I can see LCD works when shining flashlight on screen. Very disappointed. Have since purchased a Dell and using the ACER as a desktop.
