Customers are impressed with the Aspire Vero 16's keyboard quality and display, citing features like the bright screen and full-size keyboard. However, some customers express concern regarding the limited RAM and its non-upgradability. The small amount of RAM is seen as a significant drawback by some users. This makes the laptop less future-proof for some potential buyers.

Laptop is very fast plus has a lot of bang for the buck. I like the aspect ratio on the 16" screen better than 16:9 standard.

Core Ultra 5 and thunderbolt ports!

I will keep this short. The price as of 11/2024 BF deal is under $400. That is a great price on a core 5 ultra laptop with TWO thunderbolt ports. If you notice, some high end gaming laptops sometimes don't even have these ports. A bit weird but hey, thunderbolt ports allow you to TONS of things. I was pleasantly surprised to see that. Intel recently made i5 variants and core ultra 5 variants. The ultras are intended for efficiency and balanced performance. The regular i5 are for desktops requiring more power and cooling. The ultra 5 is quite capable. All in all. an excellent laptop that comes with thunderbolt ports!

I recommended this laptop that was on sale to a friend who's HP laptop had a swollen battery. It is tough to beat a $380 laptop with a 16" screen, 400 nits brightness and a numeric keypad. On Sunday I helped my friend setup the laptop. So I got a chance to use it. I actually had a chance to use it and came away very impressed.
I actually liked the plastic look. The speckled colors on the plastic fit with the overall theme of the recycled laptop. The touchpad felt very responsive and didn't feel like you were on a plastic touchpad. I didn't get a chance to gauge the speed of the laptop because I was using battery power.
The laptop came with a matching sleeve to carry the laptop. There are NO negatives with this product at MSRP let alone at $380.

Lack of replaceable RAM isn't so eco-friendly

At its full price ($600) this laptop is not worth it. It has nice hardware overall, but the lack of upgradable memory and a measly 8GB in 2025 make this a hard pass. If you can get it under $400 and don't plan to do a lot of multitasking, it may not be a bad deal for you. I get that Acer was trying to make a model that was thin and inexpensive to produce, but not allowing the owner to add more RAM down the road (or replace it) to extend its life completely goes against the "eco" idea for this model.

We love this laptop. It is compact and yet has all the features needed. We were able to navigate it with little instructions.
