this is the third Acer Chromebook I've had over ten years, all have done what I need. This new one boots up even faster. Battery lasts a long time.

The Acer Chrome book is very nice and works well. It is small, so it can be placed inside of a bag as a carry on for a plane ride. recommend it.

A previous decent Samsung chromebook I had was much more expensive and attractive but died after a few years. I didn't really use it that much, mostly use computers and ipads and iPhone but like having different kinds of gadgets and OS's to try. So when I saw this on sale at Best Buy for under $150 and had a reward coupon I figured I would give it a try just to have another Chromebook. It's ok if your needs are modest but honestly mediocre at best. Rather slow. Screen/display ok but not gorgeous and bright and clear like my previous Samsung one or my Acer Windows laptop. Basic web surfing using Google Chrome is about the same as on an ipad or computer, watching a streaming movie is fine in terms of sound or pictures, but I wouldn't depend on it to get any heavy work done. Keyboard is flimsy and mouse is sluggish, sometimes have to tap twice to get the cursor in the right place. Part of the reason I wanted this and previous Chromebook is that I travel a lot and they are much lighter and smaller than any other real computer I have, and have a keyboard unlike iPad (yes I know you can get a Bluetooth keyboard but it' s not the same as built in), so I can get a little light work done or stay in touch/entertained online without lugging around a heavier larger laptop, can slip it in a briefcase or backpack or carry on suitcase easily. But if it wasn't so cheap I'd probably have returned it or be unhappy with it. Will probably collect dust most of the time. Maybe in a few years will try to get a better one or try a Microsoft Surface tablet next time. Still love my iPad best for basic reading and entertainment and web surfing and email, with or without a keyboard.

My daughter wants a laptop she could use for school and not too big and it is just right for her!
