Great Productivity Machine - Incredible Value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got rid of my PC and made the switch to Chromebooks more than 6 years ago. I use it more for productivity than entertainment which makes the 3:2 screen ratio a must have. It is much more powerful than I probably need but could not pass up the deal. Chromebooks with these specs typically cost closer to $1,000. Also, as a Project Athena chromebook, it will receive updates through June of 2028, which is two years longer than most other new chromebooks. Yes the speakers are not great, but then again not many laptops have great speakers. If I decide to watch a movie or listen to music, I'll plug-in headphones.

Great purchase so far!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great little Chromebook. Battery life is good, keyboard is very good, screen is great. The only thing not to like is the audio, and it is very poor.

Quality, could be improved.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good computer and makes smart trade-offs. I don't know it's really worth north of $600, but I suppose ChromeOS will help me figure that out as time goes by. The metal top is nice, but I wish the bottom housing was metal too. I get it saves money, but it's super hard to open because the hinge is too strong and the plastic bottom is too light, so I have to fight to open up the machine. Performance wise it's a beast. Having an i5 with ChromeOS is entirely unnecessary, but I suppose it'll be fast till the day it runs out of updates in 2028

Great value!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good little machine. I personally believe overkill for the purpose of this machine, meaning it’s primarily for web browsing and other web based apps such as zoom during a pandemic, but it’s packed with power for the price and has a lot of i/o. Personally, I think I’d rather have a laptop when you get near the higher costs for higher end chrome books, but this little guy isn’t too expensive compared to the galaxy chrome book with the same specs!

Best chromebook at the price range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seriously its the best for the price range. The screen and the aspect ratio are the best Part of this product. 10th gen icore chip makes it fly.

So far, so good
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first Chromebook, and I've only had it for a few days, but so far I'm very pleased. I wasn't able to see and try a physical unit before my purchase (no demo at nearby stores), but I did my due diligence and then went ahead knowing that Best Buy has a 15 day no hassle return policy if I didn't like it. But it's exactly as I'd hoped. Quality build, and a lot of bang for the buck. It does everything I need, and I really like the 3:2 screen. It will be even better when the USI stylus is available. In the meantime, it's a nice little laptop at a great price.

WiFi Dropouts
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it's a good midrange Chromebook. The battery, speed, display brightness are all there for me. What isn't there is persistent wifi dropouts. The dropouts are brief but ever-present. It's the only device in my all-wifi home that experiences dropouts. There I should have done a bit more research. Dropouts are a persistent problem with this model. I should have looked at other models and not been swayed by price.

Efficient Little Device!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It performs very well compared to my last laptop which was an HP. I like how fast it powers on and how quick the login is. Only caveat I do have is there is not a cap keybind for it but it’s understandable considering how small the laptop is. Also, maybe it’s a setting issue but it appears that the laptop would not be connected to my wifi for every other time I power it on. Nonetheless, this is my first time ever using a Chromebook and I must say I was not disappointed!

Acer Spin 713
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is basically just a very large tablet PC with a keyboard. I bought it thinking that I could use it for MS Office but the Android version is nowhere near that of a Windows 10 based platform. I enjoy the touchscreen and bought a cordless mouse - that is a must have item. I would have been better off with a Notebook for the price, this is a nice piece of technology but now just feels like I have an oversized Android tablet PC.

Good Computer with a Hardware Issue and Headache
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The chromebook has been great thus far, very easy to use. Fast response time, and user friendly system. It take some getting use to but very easy to figure out. Great for the price! I'm scoring it 3 stars because the i wasnt able to use it for more than two weeks before i noticed that it wasn't closing right. It would go off to the side when flipping to and from tablet to laptop. I noticed a crack in the hinge and called in for support. Customer Support was quick to respond and help me. I had to ship the laptop to the Texas repair center for Acer and that's when things went bad. They returned my laptop with a fixed hinge but the laptop had light scratches throughout and a very deep one at the top. It was missing the rubber piece to protect the screen from touching the keyboard, it was dirty with food crumbs on the keyboard, it had a ding on the side. Essentially, i sent in a brand new laptop and received in return a beat up one. I'm very close to thinking they pulled a switch on me. They were wuick to state that my laptop arrived in this condition, but i took pictures and can prove it wasnt sent that way. I also bubble wrapped it and sent it in the secure cardboard holders it was delivered to me in. There is no way this laptop was damaged in transit like that. Still dealing with this now.

Gift of Dad
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop for my dad. He is in his late 60s and fairly okay with technology. He is familiar with Andriod through use of his phone. So adjusting to this laptop from a Windows laptop was fairly easy (but did have some hiccups). I wouldn't purchase it for my needs, since it isn't the most powerful. However, it is great for my dad. He mostly surfs the web, downloads videos to watch was traveling and checks email.

Great while it worked..
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop while it worked, bought it January 2021 but by July 2022 the screen was no longer working. Took it in to get looked at and was told i was better off buying a new laptop than fixing the screen and unfortunately I was no longer under warranty. The display was nice, was sleek and not too heavy.

Chromebook on the come up!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a very dependable 2 in 1 chromebook. I got it when it was on sale for less than $500 ($200 instant savings). It runs smoothly and responds quickly. I love having the capability of the touch screen feature. My only downfalls are the speakers, keypad(its not a bad keypad but could be better), and not having a CAPS button. Overall 8.75/10 definitely competetion for Apple's MacBook. With a few critiques this laptop could become chromebook top market.
