I couldn't be happier. I love Chromebooks and especially The Acer brand. They have the best keyboards and track pads. Instant on, all day battery, vivid crisp screen, spins into a pad, and touch screen. Well worth the price. I also have an i7 Windows 10 laptop with all of the bells and whistles that I barely touch since I got this. I had to have the Windows for my Cisco labs and Cyber Security courses. Check out https://chromeunboxed.com/ for reviews. I purchased at Best Buy 9 days before sale and Best Buy refunded the difference. Great customer service. Sale price $549.

So very simplistic to set up. It's fast and easy to use. I had to buy speakers for it because some Amazon Prime videos were very low otherwise I love the laptop

My third chromebook. It's mostly pretty good; good speed, good size and weight, good display. I love that it has both usb-c ports and a USB-a port so I don't need to use a hub for my wireless mouse.
Where it falls short are: 1. The sound/volume are WAY too low 2. The camera is weak 3. It does not support stylus pen use.
The full price is absolutely not warranted because of those 3 factors but if you can get it on a good sale than it may be worth it.

The Acer Spin 713 is one of the best if not the best Chromebook on the market along side of the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. Best of all the Spin is significantly cheaper! The battery life is great and will last 8-10 hours on a single charge. The device isn’t bulky or heavy. There are plenty of additional ports for your mouse and external monitor. I’d recommend this device for anyone looking for a flagship level Chromebook with a great price.

Very fast and capable chromebook. Battery lasts a long time. Speakers are kind of disappointing but a solid computer for the price.

Excellent laptop, but I returned it because I realized how much you can't do on a chromebook. I love this product, it's small, fast, and has a metal casing, but I need it for school work, and Microsoft Word app just doesn't cut it. Apps were limited, like Zoom was bare basics, no fun backgrounds available. PowerPoint doesn't have the same functionality as an app either. If you're just using it for the internet, then I highly recommend it. If you need if for work, go with a Windows laptop instead.

I've only had the device for about a month, but have been very happy with it. I use it for some writing, internet, and zoom. It's quick and responsive, and holds a charge well. I love the large and very bright screen, and the fact that I can flip it into the tent or pad format.
My only complaint would be that although it is configured to work with a USI stylus, none was included, and they're not carried at Best Buy. I've ordered one online and am waiting to see how it changes my use.

I needed an upgrade to my older Acer chromebook 14, on my hunt it was down to 2, the lenovo duet, and this one. I had the duet but geez the terrible display turned me off. I returned it and purchased the Spin 713 and WOW this thing is amazing overall. The display is top notch, touch screen is very responsive. I just now need to find a USI stylus. the 2 things that I didn't like: The speakers, and I have to put it in developers mode to get certain apps that the duet could handle (Xbox streaming, netflix, and disney+).

I like this chromebook, because it seems so simple. I was able to set it up in less than ten minutes, and now it is very easy to use. The screen is very bright, and the text on its screen is very easy to read. The sound is not very good, not loud enough for me, but this is not a problem because I connect this chromebook to a 32-inch Vizio TV, which has a very loud sound.

Love this Chromebook. I've had the original Google Pixel, the Google Pixelbook, the Chromebook Slate, and now the Acer Spin 713.
Very powerful Chromebook. Love the keyboard and trackpad. Beautiful screen. Always fast and snappy. I keep about 50 or so tabs open and this thing never slows down. It was between this or the Pixel Go, but I wanted a 3:2 screen and I'm glad I went with the Acer. Love this form factor for work and reading.
Highly recommend this Chromebook.

A great chromebook for a developer

I've been using a chromebook as a developer laptop for many years, and it's really nice how much easier it is to do that these days (no more "dev mode" trickery and cryptic install instructions -- just click and go). I love how rock solid and fast the desktop experience is (Chrome OS uses much less memory than Windows), how easy it is to install Linux (so that I can work on my coding and testing) and how well the Android apps fill in the remaining gaps. I much prefer a 3:2 screen for a laptop so much that I refuse to buy a 16:9 laptop at all anymore, and I also really prefer a touch screen, fold-back keyboard, and pen support, so this laptop had everything I was looking for except for a fingerprint reader (which I work around by using my phone to unlock my computer, which is almost as good).

Very happy with this purchase. Very well built, and the 8 gigs of ram is plenty for Zoom meetings. Also, the battery life is great. The speakers are not theater quality, but inexpensive bluetooth speakers or earphones work fine for podcasts or music. Glad I researched Chromebooks, as the sales person would was misinformed about laptops. Just followed the review from PC magazine and my experience confirms it is the right one.

Compared to an earlier Samsung chromebook the Acer is a very good upgrade. Excellent specs. Nothing has disappointed me so far. The screen is excellent. Love the lighted keyboard. Fast. Like the 3:2 screen ratio (not a fan of 16:9 on laptops). Good connectivity. Speakers are ok, but usually listen via bluetooth earbuds. A little heavy, but I don't travel with it so it's not an issue.
Overall meets my needs. Very happy with the purchase.

Love this chromebook. Only negative are the speakers which are very low in volume at maximum. Love the 3:2 aspect ratio. I wish I could buy another one especially since the replacement 714 is not the same aspect ratio, has additional speaker issues and other negatives that I did not find in the 713.

So far, screen is great, performance is great, although had a few issues with on screen keyboard when using in tablet mode (1st keyboard wouldn't open, then when it did, the keyboard area was just black, no letters, etc. Had to restart the Chromebook to get it to work again). Otherwise, the Chromebook works great in laptop mode, but I did buy it for the tablet & tent mode features.

The Chromebook Spin 713 is a solid device. I purchased it for personal web browsing, writing, light software development, and light gaming. The Spin has easily handled everything I've needed to do, including Linux, containers, and Visual Studio Code. If you're looking for a well-built Chromebook with good horsepower, this is you device.

This is by far the best laptop I've owned. With blazing fast loading of webpages and the option to use it as a traditional laptop or tablet, I take it everywhere with me. Also, I find that Im spending less time being frustrated during updates and I don't have the clutter or mess of my files likeI did on my Windows PC. Not to mention I got a great deal on it at Best Buy.

This is most powerful chrome book for around five hundred dollars. Runs android apps and works with USI pencil. paired it with Lenovo USI pen/pencil. Only drawback is speakers are bad get external speakers or Bluetooth headphones, another alternative is to put this on a surface which reflects sound waves like a 1/4 plywood or hard cardboard.
My daughter uses it for school.
