I did a lot of shopping around online before I jumped in to buy a new monitor for my Mac Mini. It seemed that the most important criteria for eligible products was (1) had to be HD 1080p capable and (2) had to have at least one each VGA, DVI and HDMI connections. In the end the Acer H236HL was my choice and I am pleased. Screen size, 23 inch, is the best for my desk space. It did not require fine tuning of color resolution and I can't detect any errors in pixel lighting. I originally hooked up the Mini to the DVI port because that was the connection I had on my previous monitor. Then on a wild idea I connected a Roku XD to the HDMI port. The monitor switched automatically to the Roku after I put my Mac Mini to sleep. Kind of cool! The only problem was that I could not sleep the Roku so I could wake my Mini. Not the Acer monitor's fault. Just an over-bearing Roku. Disconnect! Connected the Mac Mini to the HDMI port and it's a beautiful, spacious picture. This was a good buy at Best Buy.

I added additional screen with my laptop at home and this works great. The color is very clear and sharp, easy plug and play. I just needed to disable the speaker from the screen to be able to hear the sound from my laptop. So far, I am happy with it.

can't beat this price for what you get. I was shocked by the quality and the picture of this monitor. I bought two of them to have the same resolution. Very please with it. The only thing I would want it better is the steadiness of the stand. The monitor wobbles just a bit if you shake the desk a bit but that's where a dual monitor stand comes in play. I also wished the monitors came with speakers. HDMI inputs are awesome.

Needed a new monitor. Went to Best Buy. As I was walking towards the display models that were showing the same synchronized video, my eyes were drawn to this specific monitor. (From about 50 feet away!). The closer I got to them, the more this one stood out from the rest. The whites are spectacularly white. The blacks are the blackest I've ever seen. All the colors in between are just gorgeous. I couldn't be happier with it. It is exactly what I wanted. I would recommend it to anyone. I have seen negative reviews of this monitor that mention glare from reflections because of the smooth glass screen. I really don't know what they are talking about. There is nothing special about my room lighting, and while it is in use, there are absolutely NO REFLECTIONS OF ANY KIND on this screen. You will see reflections of light sources when it is powered off. I think that is because even with no power the screen is amazingly BLACK. Not just dark, but BLACK.

Excellent value for money spent. Got it on sale, but even at regular price it was a good deal. Very nice monitor (was for my wife) and she prefers it to her (more expensive) Dell monitor. Excellent picture quality. Only wish was for a USB port on it somewhere. Also really appreciate the light weight of it.

Had to replace our 15 year old 17" LCD monitor when it failed. This one looked like a good choice based on specs and reviews. The price was reasonable, too. The 23" monitor was a big upgrade from our old 17" monitor. Hooking up the new monitor was easy too, with the choice of connection cables.

I looked at a lot of monitors and their reviews. I chose this monitor because of the price and positive reviews. Best buy had the lowest price at the time I bought. You really cannot beat the price and quality. I am very happy with this purchase. By the way, it includes both HDMI and VGA cables.

Clear, crisp images, minimal glare, and easy setup. My only complaint is that it has to go through an auto-recalibrate-setup sort of thing when it wakes back up, and I could do without having to wait those extra 20 seconds or so. But that could be a setting I need to adjust somewhere...

My HP 23" monitor that I had for 2 years died & I needed a new one. I asked my son to get me another HP but they didn't have any in the price range I was looking for so he picked up the Acer instead. The size & price range I was looking for. It works great & I'm very happy with it.

A nice, clean, bright, picture. The unit does have one serious deficiency. The external controls are located under the monitor on the right side, There are no visible labels for the controls. The controls are not described in the manual,

Bought this monitor for my son's gaming ....which is a good upgrade for the notebook his using, easy to connect and upgrade on audio makes it more impressive. The buttons right below the monitor (its hidden) and you have to play around w/ it to adjust the settings you prefer, otherwise, very good product for the price. May get a bigger screen in the future. Thank you.

Local B.,Buy was out of stock so I had to go to about 50 Miles out of town for pick up as I needed this monitor for a Monday morning event. This monitor rivals my $600.00 24" Dell Ultra! This was for a Triple Monitor set up, I trade stocks and options. If you know anything about trading options on-line, you know that Clarity and Definition are Key on a 23" monitor. This monitor filled the bill "Hands Down" Extremely pleased with this purchase all around.

Clear picture. Good price. Had both VGA and HDMI inputs. This was a perfect replacement for a monitor at work, that I can connect both a PC or a Mac to it.

This monitor looks great and is the perfect size. I actually use it as a second TV for gaming on my PS4 and it looks amazing. I have friends who game on PC and they complement the screen so I take that as a good sign. For the price you can as for much more.

I am very impressed with this 23" monitor, as I saw it on display at best buy and had the best picture of the ones presented. I am very happy with it as it has great color, viewing angle, and display. Easy to setup. It came with a VGA cable and HDMI cable.

Got two of these on sale for $110 and for the price their pretty good. They have nice glossy finish and are the perfect size for 1080p resolution. The cheap price does show tho, the bezel of the monitor ,where the front glass and the side plastic meet, in some areas show light from the display coming through. Not a problem if your looking at the screen directly but annoying to see those gaps in an otherwise beautiful screen. These monitors also have a weird screen attachment as it seems the top of the screen just sits in the casing and only the bottom is fully secured. Pressing on the screen on the bottom does nothing but pressing on the screen on the top pushes the screen further into the casing quite a bit. I did not want to play around further into this design because of fear of damaging the product. TLDR: great monitor for price but losing features such as vesa mounts, the casing has some problems but seems durable enough for daily use.

Bought this for my nephew for college. We looked at more expensive HD Monitors but the quality and clarity of the picture on this monitor far exceeded that of comparable size monitors. Would definitely recommend this monitor because of price and quality.

This screen is great quality and a good size for work. I have 2 screens that work perfectly with my HP laptop dock. The colors look good (way better than my laptop) and the both fit on my standing desk. Each monitor comes with a VGA and HDMI cable.
