Good tablet for kids not adults
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet is definitely not a good one but also not a bad one if just for kids usage. The screen size is very nice but the battery life on this tablet is only good for a one 2 hour movie at a very low brightness otherwise you can't finish the movie and the recharge on it is terrible it takes longer to fully charge then to actually enjoy a movie or surf the browser or any other activity running on it definitely spend the money on the higher end ones like Apple iPad because those higher end tablets spin circles around this one when it comes to actual enjoyment of even having one to begin with

Great tablet at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought then tablet when it was on sale for $80 and it was a great value. It is quick and the screen looks great. Considered getting an Amazon Fire or Fire HD8 but I am happy I chose this instead.

Not Bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I must say I'm impressed. I bought this tablet as a replacement to my old Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7" that I grew tired of because the lack of internal memory. Obviously I wasn't about to throw out $300 on the 10.1" version so I settled for this. The display isn't as great but that didn't really bother me because I had spent nearly a 1/3 that I would've for a high quality. The performance is acceptable since currently I only use my tablet to pass the time playing games and social media. There's really nothing bad I can say about this tablet based on what I paid and all other tablets around this price didn't offer a 32gb internal storage for my apps so I'm happy with my choice.

acer iconia one 10
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a inexpensive entry level tablet. The screen resolution is good, and the 10" screen size is excellent for the money. Battery life is not great, the device speed is slow and it locks up often.

Good Tablet at Great Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading a lot of the reviews, I was a little worried about this tablet. All I was looking for was a tablet that could surf the web, do work tasks (review email, calendar, word/excel), watch/cast videos, and serve as a replacement for my laptop when I travel. So, at under $150 I tried to be open minded regarding what the product would deliver. Also, I am an apple/windows user so I was a little concerned about switching to an Android OS. After having the Acer Iconia One 10 tablet for 24 hours with some pretty heavy and extensive usage, here are my conclusions. Setup was very easy and only took a couple of minutes. I was pleased with the look and feel of the Iconia One. It was light but felt sturdy enough to deal with the wear and tear you would expect. I didn't think it felt cheap at all like some reviewers have mentioned. I rather like the textured plastic casing on the back. Regarding processing power, if you want a heavy duty tablet with tons of processing power that can have 20 apps open at once without missing a beat, this isn't your tablet. I did notice some slight lag when the processor is working on several things. However, it wasn't anything that disrupted my experience. If you're looking for a tablet to stream/cast video, surf the web, and do some basic work tasks, it can definitely do those and more without a problem. I even played a pretty graphic intensive game and didn't notice anything that would detract from the experience. Other users experienced receiving some kind of low memory alert right out of the box. I didn't experience this and haven't--even after loading a ton of apps and running many at the same time. I never got below 50% of the available RAM. The display isn't as vibrant or crisp as an iPad retina display, but it does movies, games, and pictures just fine. It is nice that there are two separate speakers on either side so you do get a bit of stereo sound effect. As with the display, I found the camera to be less than what you would get on a new iPhone, but perfectly fine for Skyping or taking pictures around the house. If you're wanting something to blow up and hang on the wall, probably should get a real camera. I found the battery life to be above average considering pretty much non-stop usage. You can easily get 7-8 hours if using steady. The less you use it, the longer it will last. You know how that goes. Pros: -Weight, look, and feel -Price (does everything an iPad will do, the iPad just does things a little better. Is it worth the extra $200-$400? In my opinion, no. Not for what I need it for. -Android OS (easy enough to operate even though I'm an Apple/Windows user) -Comes with a small plastic stand so you can set it up on your desk. It's a small thing, but is very nice that it is included. Cons: -Processing power could be stronger -More RAM would increase ability to do heavy duty multi-tasking -Display quality. It's not bad at all, but it isn't perfect like with a high end iPad. -Camera Summary: If you just want something to supplement your phone/laptop to have a bigger screen than the phone but be lighter and more portable than the laptop, the Iconia One will be just right for you. I have absolutely zero concerns about it's ability to 'keep up' with me and accomplish what I want it to do. If you are wanting a really high end product that has perfectly crisp and vibrant videos, can handle 20+ apps open at once all while playing a graphic intensive game and editing a spreadsheet in Excel, you're going to have to pay more. You get what you pay for and I think this product is an excellent bargain given the price point. I think it will meet the needs of most people.

Average tablet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Acer one ten comes in to the market offering a very affordable android base tablet in response to the many other competitor tablets that are currently out there. Out of the box the Acer looks very stunning. It has a plastic bezel which mimics a chrome feature surrounding the camera lens and micro usb drive for your sd card. The rear facing camera comes with a 5 megapixel lens and the front is a 2 megapixel. Don't expect to take any glamour shots with this camera however it is not entirely terrible. The camera comes with a few different features to help with picture quality. One of these features is HDR mode which helps to focus and capture more details surrounding your photo. This feature works ok but i never truly saw a drastic difference. The tablet comes with two forward facing side speakers pumping out sound quality that is ok at best and often at times i would notice glitches or distortion in the sound quality. The screen display wasn't too bad coming in at a 10.1" LCD 1280x800. Not the best picture quality i have seen but still pretty impressive for being an affordable alternative to the market. Gameplay and HD movie resolution seemed to stream just fine without any glitches or hiccups. Battery life is probably the one feature that stood out the most to me and that's simply because every other feature is average with no real consumer appeal. I found that at full brightness i was able to stream videos off netflix or youtube and get about 8 hours of life on a full charge. I'm sure with less activity and the brightness scale turned to 30% getting 9 hours shouldn't be a problem. The tablet comes equipped with the android 6.0 marshmallow software and a quadcore 64 bit processor. Basically broken down what this means to the consumer is you don't have the latest or fastest software and processor out there in the market but its enough to get the job down and play 90% of the android games that you may find. I found that when i first tried to update and download some games the tablet become very sluggish and took about a hour to finish 1 hardware update. Now keep in mind i had this connected wireless to a modem pushing out 90meg of internet speed. Multi-tasking with this tablet was very difficult considering that it only comes with about 1GB of RAM. I found that if i had more then three screens open i would often lag or completely freeze up. This in part is due to the low amount of available RAM i'm assuming. After all most cellphones out there come equiped with at least 2.5GB of RAM where as the Acer tablet is barely pushing 1GB. RAM is a key essential for how smooth a product will run along with other variables of course. The one thing that caught me off guard with this product is who they were trying to gear this for. On one hand you have a kids corner which has some pretty neat built in programs to keep children entertained and educated. Then on the other hand you have Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and a few others. If you have ever used these programs to produce a powerpoint display and help keep track of financial goals or accounting then you know just how valuable these can be. The only problem i find myself having with using these programs in a real world scenario is the fact that the processor and operating program are simply average. I found that when it came time to pull up my templates and give a display of what this tablet can do, there was alot of lag and downtime as it attempted to work for me. This may not be an ideal tablet if you work in the corporate market where time is critical. Bottom line when deciding rather or not to buy this tablet i think it comes down to two groups of people, children and college students on a budget. This is ideal for kids seeing as how there are countless programs and things for them to do. Also downloading apps for them off the google playstore the quadcore processor makes this process go buy quick and smoothly seeing as how most kid games are not that heavy on memory. As for the college student on a budget this is a good and cheap way to help out with all the projects that are going to be requiring alot of use of Microsoft. The built in templates that come with Excel are going to be very time saving and help out in the long run. Pros: Good battery life Good looking build Multiple features and programs Affordable Cons: 1GB of RAM Bad sound quality Average picture quality Average operating processor

Needs wifi for the preloaded games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad little tablet for the price. Although they went on sale for $40 less than I paid for them, luckily I was still in the 15 day window to get a refund of the difference. The biggest problem was that I bought 3 for my grandkids to take in the car when we go on trips since they come loaded with 2000 games. What they don't tell you is that you have to have a wifi connection for them to work. So now we are downloading games from the playstore that will work without wifi. But we are finding out not all android games will run on this tablet, so it's a trial and error search. Battery life seems about average, 6-8 hours game play and 3-4 watching videos.
