    It's an ok tablet....

It's an ok tablet for a beginner tablet, it's not super fast, it take a little to load up and for what we do it just seems a little slow. Granted for the bottom dollar tablet it is it does do it better than the other ones in the same price range. Now with that being said, it does feel cheap, but not as cheap as the others. If you are in the market for an android go for something a little higher in the price range with more ram and faster processor. So it gets a 3 star, it's not stellar, but for what it is, it's the best in it's bracket.

I find the majority of tablet use is video streaming and maybe the occasional email or review on a website. For this purpose, there is no reason to spend $300 - 500. The screen is durable, the product is lightweight, the speed of the processor is medium which is just fine for my needs. Differentiators: Micro USB charger on the top by the web cam & tablet is white plastic. Pros: screen size Cons: processor speed Battery life currently is about 4 - 5 hours with video streaming in HD from Xfinity.

Bought this for my Mother to play games and watch videos and it works well. Easily set up and the operation didn't intimidate Mother! For the price, it fit our needs really well.

This Acer Tablet is a great value for the price. It's light weight, but has the feel and look of a more expensive tablet. The 10.1" screen is nice and clear and very responsive to touch. It has 32GB to use for downloading movies or saving home movies, or pictures. Internet connectivity is excellent. I liked it so well, that I purchased a second one for my wife.

I ordered this online and picked up from the local BB store. My criteria for a tablet were: 1. Should be below $100 2. Must have OTG capability for USB ethernet, in addition to power supply - so that I can connect to power and Ethernet at the same time 3. must have a decent resolution 4. must have a decent front camera 5. Preferably on latest version of Android Tried many cheap tablets on other online retailers amazon - although many of them met most of the criteria, none of them had either OTG or a power+OTG Surprisingly, I found this Acer tablet and the best price for the same was in BestBuy at $99! I chatted with the online BB support team, who confirmed that it has OTG and I made the purchase online to collect locally the same day! Now my experience on usage: It has been more than two months and I am impressed with the tablet. It is on Android Marshmallow (not on Noughat yet - hope Acer will push that through some time soon) Performance is really great, for a 1GB RAM it has. The key apps that use - the browser, mail, skype etc. all works great - no issues The display is great in bright and low light There are some kids apps from Acer - and should be useful for kids Battery last long - though I am connected to power most of the time Below are the negatives that I have observed so far 1. google play video cannot be downloade on OTG Ethernet - it mandates to have wifi. This is a shame. 2. The motion capture on front camera is not that great - the video quality goes down with movement, while on skype. 3. When connected only to OTG ethernet, and not the power, the tablet reboots while coming back from standby.

I bought this for "me". Not my grandkids or anybody else. I love the fact that one can add 128gb extra memory to the 32gb internal memory. I like to store photos and videos are great. The battery lasts for over 9hrs. I purchased a tablet a couple of years ago for my granddaughter and I paid triple the price for a lot less. I have found something that is really "Worth the Money". Well worth the price. I am super satisfied with my purchase.

It's no LG or iPad but it's OK for what it does. Runs high frames on War Robots, has good sound. It can be really clunky and slow to process.

This was a gift for my step-mother that is in her 70's. She loves it. It is easy to use and the screen is big enough for her to read easily.

I had never really considered a tablet as I have a LGG4 smartphone and nice Sony Vaio laptop. Received this as I am member of Best Buy Tech Insider Network. I was pleasantly surprised once I starting using it though and can definitely see their value. pros - nice size good speakers easily configurable as it it android based clear screen and great viewing angles. I was worried that it would not play my 1080p (1920 X 1080) saved videos (device resolution is 1200 x 800) but they played and loked great using VLC app. it used about 25% battery watching 90 minute movie which I think is pretty good. so for long flights should be able to go the distance.... charges pretty quickly using plugin It comes with 32GB storage but due to me wanting to store and watch my 1080P videos I added a 128gb micro SDXC card (max you can add according to Acer whom I had to call to verify). It was very easy to add and stepped you thru the options to setup/install. cons - Acer has added a "left page" that for me was utterly useless and there doesnt seem to be any way to get rid of it. forward and back cameras arent great when compared to any current smart phone, but very passable if no other option(s). as some others have stated memory can be an issue as it comes with only 1GB. The Android operating system itself seems to use 600MB, so that can pose problems. It comes with software that constantly monitors memory and will pop up occasionally letting you know it needs to be "cleared" (shows a button option to press). I found that by using the multiple screens button and closing any app I wasnt really using it seemed to alleviate this problem. I had web browser firefox open and watching 1080p video and had no issues. BUT when loading your pictures folder, etc.. it may take a few seconds for them all to load and be "clear". Some other random thoughts. Overall a very nice device. It comes with a/g/n wireless receiver but I have an AC so my speeds were around 135mbs thru 5ghz connection. Which is pretty sweet. Screen seems to smudge easily but putting on a protector probably would help. Would have been nice to have more memory as well as AC wireless receiver - but for this price point probably not doable..

We just needed a wifi tablet that does most things with relative ease. This fits the bill for the right price. After purchasing, I read that a lot of the downsides is the resolution of the display screen. But in this case, I would argue that it is a plus, as it saves on battery life. Do you really need higher than the resolution this offers when it is just a casual use tablet? Which, btw, the battery life is quite good.

It’s a perfectly functional tablet, with battery life and value being its biggest strengths. It's the same size as an Ipad and it comes with 32GB of flash memory as standard, but you can expand this via the microSD card slot. There are ports for Micro USB and HDMI too. In landscape mode, all of these, as well as the power button and headphone jack, sit on the left edge which is great if you are left handed.

This Acer tablet looks good. I like the sleek, clean design, the curved edges, and the textured, grippable backing. However, it does feel awfully light in my hands, so I found myself handling it more delicately than I would have liked. While its internal specs are clearly not as powerful as many mainstream tablets in the 10" realm, this one holds its own if you're looking for something to use for quick browsing, playing games, video+pics viewing, or even connected to a bluetooth keyboard for some actual computing using the multiple preloaded or downloadable Play Store apps. I was not able to use Google Duo due to its OS restrictiveness, which was a letdown. This tablet comes with 32GB of internal storage space, which is plenty if you're not using it to take videos or loading up pictures into it - it does have an SD slot for expandable storage (I put in an extra 32GB), but the cover to the slot is a clunky piece of plastic that is kind of an eyesore. I liked the two speakers on the right and left side when positioned in landscape mode. I tested the sound and video quality of HBO Go and had no issues during playback. My one gripe is the positioning and shape of the volume buttons in relation to the power button, as there were some instances where I would accidentally power it down while attempting to increase the volume - it would have been nice to have some distinctive quality to differentiate the buttons. The battery life was decent, around 7-8 hours after first full charge down to 10% watching HD video interspersed with some multitasking app usage. Out of the box, it comes with a power adapter, USB cable, and a very flimsy, portable stand that barely keeps the tablet upright and fails while pressing the touchscreen. Overall, the Acer Iconia One is a decent alternative to the more expensive 10" tablets out there. It's worth a grab for users who like a larger screen for their bedside computing and video viewing.
