great monitor! i got it on sale and am currently using it as a vertical second monitor. i am contemplating making it my main monitor

Because of the size & 1080p resolution plus having great brightness. Nintendo Switch games look great like if they were HiRez.

Bought two of these for a dual monitor setup. Once setup, I immediately noticed something wrong. One monitor was far brighter than the other. A quick check of settings showed they were the set for the same brightness (85), yet the right monitor was very dim. Upon further digging, I noticed the OSD menu was slightly different on the dim one compared to the normal one. Thinking back to when I was unboxing them, the two monitors had different styles of styrofoam packing. Why? Yet the boxes, model numbers, everything looked the same. More fiddling with the OSD menu, the dim one had a "max brightness" setting, where the bright one did not have that setting in the menu at all. I turned it on, and boom! Instant brightness to match the other one. The other problem became apparent -- the monitor that was dim has a reddish cast to it compared to the other one that has perfect whites. So with the monitors side-by-side, put a browser screen right in the middle so it's on both screens and you can easily see the trouble monitor is not white. I checked all the OSD menu settings and they matched the other one and nothing would fix it. In Windows display properties,, I noticed something -- Windows saw the good monitor as XF243Y and the bad monitor as XF243YP. A-HA! I checked the box for the "P" monitor and nothing on the label shows anything about being a "P" variant. The labels were not the same either. They looked different. So, buyer beware, there is an inferior "P" variant. The easiest way to tell which one you have is the styrofoam. The packing for the "P" monitor is like a sandwich with the monitor and stand in the middle of the two pieces of foam that has to be fully removed from the box. The good monitor has foam that you lift the top half out of the top of the box, allowing you to remove the monitor and stand and the bottom half stays in the box. The "P" monitor is going back, and I've taken pictures of the label of the good monitor to do a match. My Quality star rating is based on an average of the good and bad monitor. The good monitor is excellent.

This monitor was bigger than I had originally wanted and I had to make room for it on my desk but it's great! And it has speakers built in, which was a bonus.

Really good for the price. 100hz is a nice step up from 60hz. But if you can just shell out some extra money for 144hz plus.

This monitor is everything that I could've asked for. The response time is fantastic and allows me to play my games to the best of my ability.

Its a really good intro gaming monitor that has up to 4k capabilities at 60fps and 1080p at 120fps overall the functionality and ease of access is good and should connect to most next gen consoles via a hdmi coord just make sure to configure your settings appropriately.

Was looking for an external monitor to connect to my Legion 7i. My desktop 'beast' has a 32 inch TUF Gaming model but for gaming & testing, I wanted a smaller screen size for connection to this laptop and others. This monitor does 165 Hz beautifully, supports FreeSync, has great color reproduction - like you would expect for modern IPS panel, gets real bright and has a deep set of adjustments. It will do HDR as well but I find it looks best with that off. Another sleeper product in a sea of mediocrity. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect gaming monitor for my small, corner-desk arrangement. No bling. No gimmicks. It just works perfectly. RTINGS has a very in-depth and convincing review on the Nitro XF243Y. Reading it convinced me to give it a try... and I am glad that I did. I've always had good experience with Acer monitors in the past and this one is equally impressive for the money spent. Doesn't feel flimsy in the least bit. The base is solid, the mechanical adjustments are smooth and the panel uniformity is excellent. If you're on a budget but want the absolute best bang for the buck - check it out. This thing is perfect for my needs. Bought this for my first gaming pc. Love that it has a display port. Adjusting it is really easy.

10/10 monitor runs well on my ps4 and will sure run good on my ps5, settings are easy to control, adjustable and overall a perfect monitor

Didnt even realize the monitor had speakers so got a bit of a bonus, but all in all good picture and good size for a lottle setup.
