DEAD PIXEL DAY 1 OF OWNING

Checked to see if it was covered under warranty by Acer and it was not, apparently no company covers 1 dead pixel under warranty. It's asinine that a $220 monitor is not covered under warranty. Obviously I ended up returning it and ordering a new one. If I get another dead pixel I won't be buying from Acer anymore due to the low QC.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you decided to return your newly purchased Acer monitor. Acer does have a pixel policy that you can find on our site under Support. In brief, it would take more than two bright stuck pixels to qualify for warranty repair.

The DVI stays hooked to my gaming PC, but when I work from home I hook one of the HDMI ports to my laptop to get a second monitor. I also like the stand which is height adjustable. I know it swivels some, but I've never tried to turn it 90 degrees to "portrait" mode.

I have purchased more than a few monitors from Best Buy and they have been working great. I just love the premium free sink feature of this monitor and the ips panel is beautiful to look at. I am real happy with the product and doing business with Best Buy, they never let me down.
