This has been a great computer for my daughter in virtual middle school. She has used it for several months and there have been no problems with zoom, teams, or research.

I truly love the way the keyboard responds to your typing. The resolution is great and the sound is also good from the speakers. One thing I wish were better is the volume of the speakers. They could go a bit louder in my opinion.

Firstly I have a very high level of tech expertise and have built numerous gaming computers. This laptop, the acer nitro 5 the i5 with the gtx 1650 with the 15.6" screen "AN515-54" is the model I bought. So at first everything was fine but it maybe had a slight backlight bleed on the LCD panel. No big deal. It played for about a month just fine. I casually played Overwatch and APEX on ultra settings with a laptop cooler underneath the machine never reaching above 90c rarely on my cpu temps (usually in the 70s 80c range). After about 2 months I noticed the machine would randomly restart. After setting the computer up to "log" the restarts, I found a few problems. There was a driver and system file that was causing the whole machine to crash. These system files malfunctioning was tied to failing hardware. To be specific, the wireless card that controls Bluetooth, and or wifi was crashing my entire system. So there's that problem. My second problem I noticed by complete chance was that by plugging in a thumb drive to any of the USB ports on the left side of the laptop would cause my laptops wifi to malfunction. So now I am confident there is something weird going on with the hardware. Either the laptop would randomly crash (not even while gaming), or the wifi malfunction. So I sent in my laptop to acer and they told me they could not find anything wrong with my laptop and they shipped it back. So great. After spending 920 dollars (after tax) at my local best buy. I am rewarded with this lemon. Mind you I have saved all summer to buy this machine (i am a disabled techy with scoliosis). So you can understand how helpless I feel right now. I made the mistake of sending it in to Acer instead of just returning it to Bestbuy. However in that window in which Acer was "servicing" my laptop, my return window passed at Bestbuy. At this current stage I am considering cutting my loss and going with another brand or maybe just building my own rig and never buying a pre-made laptop ever again. So unfortunate. You have been warned fam.

Got this for my daughter. She’s completely happy with it. It boots up quickly, good quality video card. The only flaw is that it doesn’t t have a CD drive. Most teens download programs, games etc.

I like the laptop so far. My only issue seems to be when watching a movie on a streaming service I can't get the volume high enough so I'm forced to be a few inches away. Charles

My daughter is elated because her AUTOCAD and IT assignments can be done on a professional and stress-free gaming computer. She absolutely loves it. We are buying a red desk and a red chair to complement it!

It has been a great purchase. I’ve played FIFA 19, Apex Legends, Rise of tomb raider and a few more at Ultra graphics and the laptop does great with all. The only issue is the placement of the track pad.

it plays games ok. there is a little lag but not to much. does surfing online no problem at all like you tube and net flix and stuff.

Bought this for my daughter to replace her 5+ year Surface Pro that was dying. She wants a laptop for moderate gaming and she does not need the machine to be ultra portable. After some research, Nitro 5 looks like a good fit/value. The machine looks well built and the keyboard was easy to use. Unfortunately, the machine lasted just over 2 weeks. I believe there is an issue with the power pin that develops after two weeks. When plugged in, the power light was not on and neither was the battery charging light - it seems that the machine is getting any juice. I do not believe it is an issue with the power brick. I hooked the laptop to a known working universal charger that I have and it did not remedy the problem either. I do not want to RMA the machine so I ended up returning the laptop to BB (good service). I did not mind getting a replacement right away but alas none of the stores in our region has one. After talking to my D a bit more, she does not feel comfortable getting another Acer. So, we will continue to look. I guess I just have bad luck with laptops. Over the years, I had laptops from Sony, HP, Dell that just would not work right (random catastrophic issues that could not be repeated consistently). I have a Lenovo Yoga that I had to RMA twice (mercifully the failure can be consistently duplicated). I do not mind paying a little more to get build quality. However, I do not think $ = quality. All the problematic laptops I have mentioned above are all >$1000 machines.

Amazing product, picked it up for $670 and for its upgradeability and price to performance hands down this is the best laptop out their for gamers. Also very sturdy, and not cheaply made can’t argue.

I don't use it for gaming but I do a lot of music storage on it. It has variable fan settings which come in handy and the screen resolution is pretty good for watching movies

Perfect for beginners who want to start gaming. Cost may be pricy but I bought it for about 130$ less. Very good quality gaming laptop

I’ve had this laptop for about a month now and I love it. The backlit function of the keyboard makes it very practical. I haven’t encountered any errors or crashes in games so far. Well done Acer!

does everything and anything modestly. very good value. laptop also comes with a laptop sleeve which is neat. laptop does get hot if no proper ventilation would be its only downfall

Runs Rainbow Six: Seige, Overwatch, Minecraft, World of Warships great and with high frame rates. I use the hard drive for games, because the ssd fills up fast. Very fast boot time.

Excellent lap top: fast, crystal clear monitor and great battery life. It is a gaming computer so it should have a great video card in it. Acer makes a great product.

I’ll say first, I’m not a windows user. Never liked it and never thought I would. But I live this laptop. It works for our gaming, art design and so much more.

So far it’s been a great laptop for every day life and gaming nights. I can play all my games at max settings with no impact to FPS. Plenty of memory and is worth the price.

Outstanding laptop for the price and the quality. Highly recommended if you want to game outside of a console and be mobile by having a laptop instead of desktop.

It was a great value and is enjoyed on a daily basis. I would definitely recommend this item for any gamer looking to start their journey into gaming on pc.
