You will need to update your BIOS to safely operate your machine without any potential irreversible hardware degradation. Infact just stay away from any 13/14th generation intel device if you do not want to do this. The fact that this issue is not even disclosed to the buyer is completely unacceptable.

Acer warrenty horrendous.
