Customers enjoy the Nitro5 gaming laptop's strong performance and impressive graphics capabilities, particularly for its price point. However, some users have noted that the fans can be loud during intensive use, and battery life is a significant drawback. The screen quality has also been a concern for a few customers. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and value is frequently offset by concerns about noise and battery life.

Worked good for the first use of the product. The next time i went to turn it on the screen was just black and I had to hold the power button to make it shut down. Once I got it turned on i realized it wouldnt charge. I tried every outlet in my house and nothing would work. Save your money and get something that will actually work.

The laptop ran good for two months, had some fluttering issues, thought it was just power issues to the motherboard. One day after running great for the whole week, screen had broken pixels and screen went completely black. GPU just stopped working entirely, tried everything to fix it without opening the laptop, had to send it in only owning it for less then two months.

This laptop is an absolute steal for the hardware involved. I personally bought it for my GF to play Satisfactory which it does no problem, even with 348578 conveyor belts going.

I think for 999$ it's best value laptop, RTX 3070Ti 150W , very good cooling system, 2k display.
Laptop on Rtx 4070 cost at least 300$ more but performance the same

I bought this laptop about year ago. It worked great and I was loving it. Then one day after about 3 months, I went to turn it on, and nothing. I called Acer support, and they sent me a new charger. That wasn't it. So, I sent it in for repairs. about 10 days go by and I get the laptop back. It was a bad mainboard, which they replaced.
Sure enough, it worked great...for another 3 months when I experienced almost the exact same issue except this time, I noticed signs (Boot looping a couple times before actually booting, charger not able to stay in the charging port) occurring starting 2 weeks before it died. These happened the first time too. So, since it died, I called Acer and set up another return. About 2 weeks later, I get it back...another bad main board. So, I used it, and it worked great...for another 3 months. Sent it back to Acer to get repaired...you guessed it, bad mainboard. The laptop has been working great for the last 3 months.....However, it is now showing those signs again, and it is probably just a matter of a little time before it dies again.
Needless to say, I am beyond unhappy with the quality of this laptop and have sworn to never purchase another Acer product. I do NOT recommend buying this. It is not worth the hassle. I can forgive once, even twice, for having to need a repair, but having the same issue that renders the laptop a giant brick 4 times in a year is just NOT acceptable.
Now, I am going to try to fight with Acer and Best Buy to give me a refund/store credit because, at this point, I just want something else. Doubt it, but hopeful.

Gsync doesn’t work (or even appear on Nvidia Control Panel) event though the laptop display supports “Freesync Premium”
First instance I’ve seen of a Freesync display that doesn’t support GSync even though they’re all supposed to.
I think there’s a legitimate issue with the MUX switch not supporting VRR. It’s either internal GPU w/VRR or dGPU without.
Still, for a 3070 ti, it could very well be worth it (and even a great deal) if you don’t care too much about gsync/vrr.
(Reviewed at $1000, but it is $1300 at time of review)
