Excellent laptop overall; easy to set up and start. I am able to run Bauldur's Gate and Darktide at the highest settings with no issues. The fans are louder than I expected but that's the trade-off to run this quality of hardware. The only downside is the laptop comes pre-downloaded with McAfee and a bunch of other services they want you to subscribe to; it was very easy to delete it all though!

Awesome gaming laptop, can handle everything I throw at it on Max Settings haven’t had any issues whatsoever. Would recommend it at the regular price but if you can catch it for 500 bucks off like I did a Supervalu. I did upgrade the memory from 16 to 32 gigs though.

I origanaly pirshesed this laptop for 1,800 but was abke to prive matach it to 1,599. I remuved the two 8gb sticks of 5600mhz ram snd put in a set of 2 x32gb 5600 mhz. I aso replaced the 1tb ssd with one 2tb 980pro from my old laptop. and one 4tb 990 pro with the heatsink. The onlycomplant i have is that the cpu is runs way to hot for my tast (but honistly its an i9 so…) geting up to a max spike of 110c so if you plan to game in it turn off the turbo max boost witch can send 157w to the cpu. powere of 157w and let max out at 140w. Honistly im thinking of droping the max watige yo 100w to keep the cpu at a max of 95c in the end i payed less then 1,000 less then if i had pirshesd it asca compleet unit it wold have been at least 3,600 vs the 2,300 I payed for it after all the new parts.

Amazing laptop, the performance is insane, I bought it for robotics and Ai mainly, this should be good for another 4-5 years, it's much better and cheaper in comparison to the competitions, the price is amazing as well.

This machine is an amazingly powerful build for the price, and i am so impressed by the quality of the laptop casing. If you plan to actually use the RTX- 4080 you should expect the fans to get loud, but you’ll forget they are there the moment you see Cyberpunk 2077 running at 90 FPS in native resolution with “Raytracing - Overdrive” graphics enabled. I can do manual retopology in Maya on a high-poly mesh without caching or doing any other sort of optimizing and never feel so much as a stutter. Abode Substance Painter and Designer run beautifully. My only caveat is the 16GB RAM offered, but the other stick of DDR5 RAM is a very inexpensive and wasy to install add-on, expecially if you are lucky enoungh to find this laptop on sale. Speaking of, there is room for a second M2 Solid State drive, which is awesome and great for turning this laptop into a power portable production workstation.

Had this laptop for a year now. No issues at all so far. Been able to run all the games I wanted to run and should last for a long time. Always keep this thing plugged in or else the battery will die fast unless on battery saver.

Man where do i even begin. I used to be a desktop user. But after i got this i havent even touched my desktop as this is simply more powerful. the 4080M runs everything i throw at it with the amazing 2560x1600 screen. And i got this laptop for 1799 before tax so it was well worth the money. the premium for portability is worth it. i can play COD or allan wake II in my schools library without issue. however its very loud on performance mode and turbo mode so when im in public i use the balanced profile. The balanced profile limits the gpu to 90Watts and it is still very capable at that power and is very quiet too. When running the gpu at the full 175 watts it sounds like a jet so i only use that mode in private spaces lol.

This is one of my first time ever purchasing a Predator laptop and I honestly love it. If there is one thing I do regret is that I didn’t get a cooling pad along with it. I do intensive video editing and gaming so it’s prone to heating up and yet it runs incredibly smooth.

Had this for a few months now and by far the best gaming laptop I’ve owned. The screen/display is gorgeous. The price is very competitive with these specs as well. The system stays cool sometimes a bit loud but if your gaming might as well be wearing headphones anyways so you can take advantage of the immersion of fps and amazing story games. Performance is extremely impressive and I have not had any issues at all. Using the predator sense software is easy to switch between modes and custom features.

Amazing build quality, quiet for a gaming laptop (still loud but workable) great cooling and jaw dropping graphics. Best money I’ve spent so far, rivaled only by the 3d printer I bought.

The webcam doesn't have a built-in cover like most. That's fine I have an external one I use for work that's expensive and covers the one I have and has a cover but wait! Windows 11 doesn't like external Logitech cameras so now it doesn't work and removed all audio when you plug it in until you restart the entire machine. What laptop doesn't have a plastic cover for their webcam with today's invasive technology? Windows 11 has been an absolute horror fest getting used to I wish I could have kept my old OS.

Overall, not a bad gaming laptop. Actually, pretty great! The only quirks I found involved the Acer Predator software that was a bit tacky, and certain aspects of Asus’ overall design made it feel a little cheap. The weird predator cartoon dancing around in the Acer Predator app was odd… But the performance was pretty good. I decided to return this for a 4090 laptop, but honestly the Acer Predator performed quite well.

I have been building and repairing computers (PC’s and macs) for 34 years. The only negative reviews on this machine are people that have low tech levels and/or received units with issues(which is common ground with all products on earth) I will never give negative feedback for a faulty system unless the customer service isnt good to address my issue. People that give negative reviews because a product arrives with issues or is broken has clearly never worked in retail and have no business leaving reviews. Items being broken or having issues are a very basic occurance and every single product on earth isnt going to work perfectly and/or not be broken. Honestly, basic consumers shouldnt own high end hardware either because all high-end hardware requires tuning and fine tuning that takes a mild level of technical abilities before ownership. With all of that being said, This laptop is amazing. It is nowhere near my 13900k/4090 desktop, but for on the go gaming and for the price, you will not find a better high end laptop. The panel is great, the power delivery is great, the temps with the liquid metal on the CPU are great(even when set to turbo and manual overclocking through afterburner without predator sense running). The machine does NOT have much bloatware like some reviews are saying; im not sure where that is even coming from. Some games are developed for gsync, some are not. Some games need gsync and vsync, some do not, etc., etc. people with lower tech levels will blame the unit for weird performance in games when the reality is, its usually the user not understanding that optimization of software and games is very different from application to application and you need to have enough knowledge to know when and what to tweak playing games on computers. The negative reviewers need to stick to consoles where low tech levels is ok. Buy this laptop in this configuration and upgrade to 32GB of RAM (2x16GB 5600). The 16GB isnt enough, but that is a super simple fix. They sell it with 16GB to keep the retail lower than competitors. Gskill sells a ripjaws kit for a little over $110 that is compatible with the BiOS and will run at 5600mhz @CL40 on the 13900hx(the 13700 will max at 4800mhz). Get one. You wont regret it.

Besides the loose barrel-jack power connector, the laptop is excellent as a workstation for gaming, CAD, and programming. I experienced more problems with Windows 11 than with the computer hardware. For multitasking computationally expensive tasks, I recommend upgrading the ram to 32Gbs e.g. Kingston DDR5 SODIMM. Also, if anyone else has the same power connector problem, make a velcro lasso as a quick fix. The barrel-jack connector is soldered to the PCB.

This thing really is a beast. I wasn't even coming from a laptop very old. It'd been a R9 5900HS and laptop RTX 3070, an Asus. And that thing was an impressive machine, especially for how thin it was. This Predator though, absolutely and noticeably blows that older laptop outta the water. As much as double the performance results in most games and at higher setting and high resolution. Well worth the price too, especially if lucky enough to catch it on sale. Get them while you can.
